Donald Kelsey 'Don' McGregor, 92 of Jesup died Sunday at his home (under the care of Hospice) of South Georgia.

A native of Port Angeles, Washington and a son to the late Oliver Kelsey McGregor and Bethel Izora Baine McGregor.

He entered WWII at 18 and served as a U.S. Army Air Corps navigator in the 447 Bomber Group, flying 26 missions over Europe.
He graduated from the University of Washington in 1949 with a degree in Chemical Engineering and began his long career with Rayonier in Shelton, Washington.
Don was transferred to Jesup with his family in 1957 as a Bleach Plant Supervisor.
He retired from ITT Rayonier in 1985 as manager of Manufacturing and Pulp Mill Operations. He loved camping, fishing and golf. He worked diligently in establishing The Good Samaritan Center to further his strong belief that no one should be hungry.

They celebrated each of their twelve great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday, May 2, 2018, First United Methodist Church with Rev. Tucker Lewis officiating.
A private family interment will follow in the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery.
Active pallbearers:
Sonny Reddish, Bully Teston, Jimmy Davis, Fletcher Stevenson, Billy Burch, Charles Wright, Mike Thurmon and Bill Ward. Honorary pallbearers will be Cliff Murphy, Freeman Bacon, Jim Bland, Colin Thorpe, Mike Hargrove representing his father, Jessie Hargrove, Gene Rouse, Robert Parson, Stanley Carden, Bill Tyre, Sr. and the Men's Sunday School Class members.

The family will receive friends 10 to 11 A. M. prior to services at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Good Samaritan Center, 395 SW Broad Street, Jesup, Ga. 31545 or Hospice of South Georgia, 1625 Sunset Boulevard, Jesup, Ga. 31545.

Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup is in charge of arrangements.
