What does the Golden Egg do?

One of my Linoones picked up a Golden Egg. As far as I'm aware, the Golden Egg is not an item in regular Pokemon. What does it do?

EDIT: Just realized that I can check in-game what it does and it is essentially a better lucky egg that gives a +100% exp increase instead of +40%.
