We loved it! Zoo was big and there was many animals. I read that it’s hard to see animals, but it was easy for us. There is a alot of restaurants/coffee places/souvenirs shops, so not a need to be prepared with own things. It was 14€, so it was cheap. Very nice place. U need your best walking shoes because it’s BIG. :-)

The largest zoo I have ever been to. Apparently rated in the top ten in the world. They have larger areas for the animals living space so you walk further for some attractions. Lots of " up close" animal attractions such as for birds where you enter a area where there is no cage screens separating you from the birds living environment. We got there at opening and only saw maybe 3/4 of zoo by late afternoon but we were tired so returned home. Its worth the entrance fee price.

We have visited many zoos and this is one of the best. It is very big and steep in places so comfortable shoes needed. We were so impressed with the silver back gorilla, the younger one living with his ladies. (There are 2 separate enclosures each with a silverback) All the animals are very well cared for and have space. If you can spare time to spend most of the day, as it can't be rushed, we highly recommended this. If you are a senior take photo ID. We had copies of passports with us. My husband is over 70 and got in for 1 Koruna, I am 67 and got in for 1/2 price.

Amazing place to visit in prague. We came last minute (spur of the moment) so easy to get to and find and amazing price for what you get!! So many amazing animals! one of the best zoos i’ve ever visited.

This is a must when you stay in prague.We had the most amazing time at the zoo. The animals are so well looked after and clean. The elephants where fun to watch .Also the polar bear was playing in the water . It took roughly six hours to get round with a few pit stops as it was very hot.Plenty of cafes and toilets .Quite hilly so wear trainers.You can catch the cable car but not for those scared of heights.Its walkable .

We have been to a number of zoos across Europe, usa and Mexico and this is the best one ever. We spent 6 hours there and it cost around a tenner each. I won't give detail as it will spoil it apart from big clean enclosures with well fed and cared for animals. Uber cost about a fiver from prague city.

An amazing zoo with so many animals we spent 6 hours looking around and we still didn't manage to see everything. The animals seemed well looked after it was fun watching the giraffes and orangutans being fed and parrots playing with toys. The zoo is well organised with the enclosures fitting seamlessly into the surrounding scenery and there are lots of domes and walk in cages to get a closer view. Half of it is on a hill but there's shaded areas and vending machines along the way so we managed the climb to the top even on a hot day, plus the views of Prague are stunning. Would really recommend.

The best zoo I think we've ever visited. So much to see and do and the scenery is just beautiful! Perfect for a hot day too because it's very shaded under the trees! Highly recommend if you're visiting Prague.

Prague zoo might just be the best zoo I have been to so far. Modern, clean, full of greenery, playgrounds for kids, food stands, restaurants, souvenir shops, kiddie train, children pool, there's even a beautiful chair lift. Animals live in beautiful coops often behind glass or a low wall instead of bars and their homes in the zoo feel so natural. Majority of animals have outdoor cages or both outdoor and indoor space, sometimes even their own little pavilion. Pavilions in general are a huge thing in this zoo and they are incredible, modern, spacious, full of exotic plants and mimicing the natural habitat, temperature and sounds perfectly. Another very popular feature of Prague zoo is an open aviary, whether it's outside or inside of the pavilions. You can watch various birds all around you as in the wild, but the same principle has also been used for the new kangaroo house. I especially recommend seeing the new gorilla pavilion, African savanna, the Elephant valley, the African house, the Indonesia jungle pavilion, crocodiles, kangaroos and the new parrot pavilion, but there are endless things to see and the zoo is huge, so it is a real shame they stopped operating the trains which used to take the visitors around both the lower and upper part of the zoo. The whole zoo is divided into thematical areas, whether it is Africa, birds, water zoo, petting zoo and others and they hold regular events such as feeding majority of the animals as well as many events. In the zoo you can see most animals you can think of and walk dozens of kilometers, so one visit is nowhere near enough to explore everything. We made multiple trips to zoo this summer and there was always something different to do and see. That is another great thing about the Prague zoo - there are constantly new things going on. New expositions and pavilions being prepared, new animals being presented, babies being born. There is only one thing the zoo could still work on and that is the refreshments. There are many places to get a meal or a snack, but unfortunately, it is still the old school fast food greasy type of stuff despite the place being heavily visited by families with little kids, so some healthy options of food would definitely be appreciated in the future.

Lovely zoo with an interesting mix of animals. Animals are clearly well cared for and the information boards were great fir learning about them all. Zoo is clean with clearly marked trails and plenty of opportunity to get snacks and drinks throughout the park. There is a steep climb to the top, but we took the cable chairs to the top then walked down which worked great for an extra 40kn each (about £1.25 and we'll worth it). All in all a great day out
