Great walk if you walk the opposite way starting from Leigh station and walk to the left of the gold driving range. Just check that the Salvation Army’s tearoom is open before climbing the hill up to it!! Mind you, the views from Hadleigh Castle are fantastic, so it’s worth the hike up there!!
Very boggy behind leigh station this time of year. Very difficult to walk in and definitely need appropriate water proof boots this time of year. But really enjoyed it and even though it’s not that far a walk, the terrain makes this a moderate to difficult walk IMHO.
Really interesting, estuary backwaters, working farmers fields, cross a field with cows in and cross over the railway track, up to Hadleigh Castle ruins where its perfect to stop with refreshments and feel a real sense of accomplishment (very steep climb up to Castle!!) and chill, before descending and ending up back at the station. And there in the station is a coffee shop selling COLD drinks coffees and food!
