DIRECTOR – Kim Tae-yeob

Kim Tae-yeob is the director of the highly-rated Kdrama When My Love Blooms. The positive feedback from the previous show shows that the audience has high expectations for Lovely Runner and looks forward to experiencing his unique directing talent.

SCREENWRITER – Lee Si-eun

Lee Si-eun is the screenwriter for one of Cha Eun-woo’s fan-favorite Kdrama, True Beauty. She received a lot of backlash from the fans for the ending, and they are still crying out for a season 2, which shows that her talents are impeccable and gets the audience invested.

MAIN CAST

Byeon Woo-seok as Ryu Sun-jae

Byeon Woo-seok can be the villain or the hero in the story, and the audience will fall in love with him regardless. He has youthful features and appears calm and collected, which is an added advantage when playing the villain because he can easily slip under the radar.

Byeon Woo-seok’s appearance makes it easy for him to portray youthful and mature roles. He won a Best New Actor award for his role in Moonshine, and other notable dramas include Strong Girl Nam-soon, Search: WWW, and Welcome to Waikiki 2.

Kim Hye-yoon as Im Sol

Kim Hye-yoon is a young actress who disarms viewers with her outstanding performances. With a long list of roles to her name at such a young age, Kim Hye-yoon shows promise of growing into a young veteran and continues to shake the world of the South Korean film industry. You cannot miss her immaculate acting in shows for which she won awards, including The Girl on a Bulldozer, Extraordinary You, and SKY Castle

Song Geon-hee as Kim Tae-sung

Song Geon-hee has the most innocent, brightest, cute smile, but do not let it fool you. When he gets into character, he catches you off-guard, draws you in, and makes you fall in love with him all over again. He will make you bawl your eyes out like in SKY Castle and intoxicate you with his charming smile in Missing: The Other Side that you cannot help but keep replaying his scenes.

Lee Seung-hyub as Baek In-hyuk

Lee Seung-hyub has not been in many acting roles, so you are probably more familiar with his music career since his debut in 2015 with FNC Entertainment’s band, N.Flying. He has been making waves in the film industry as the main character in Sh**ting Stars, Must You Go?, Big Picture House, All Boys High, and All the Love in the World Season 3. On a side note, let us emphasise that you need to hear him rapping; it is a cannon event that every K-drama and K-Pop fan needs in their life!

OTHER CAST

Kim Won-hae as Ryu Geun-deok

Kim Won-hae is no stranger to any Kdrama fan, as his versatile talent ensures he leaves a deep impression on screen. There is a saying that if you see him, then you know the K-drama will be good. His list of movie and TV show appearances is too many to mention, but I am sure any fan can name at least ten, if not his top 50 roles. His acting prowess makes him effortlessly embody any character and keeps the viewers engrossed. He has won best supporting actor awards for Revenant, The Ghost Detective, and While You Were Sleeping in the recent past.

Seo Hye-Won as Hyun-joo

She went from, “You know, I got no chingus,” to becoming  Im Sol’s best friend in this show. Over the past years, Hye-won has continued to prove she is a versatile actress and can deliver any role. This comes as no surprise as she graduated from   Yongin University, where she majored in theatre. You might recognise her from hit dramas such as Business Proposal, Alchemy of Souls Season 2: Light and Shadow, True Beauty and many others.

Jun Young-joo as Park Bok-soon

Jun Young-joo is the queen of guest and support roles, and you might have seen her in almost everything. Her scenes might be short, but they are always memorable. She has a lovely voice, and I wish I could see her in more musical roles. However, she never fails to impress and is delightful to watch. You will love her appearances in Penthouse, Vincenzo, Han River Police, and Jugglers, among so many others.
