This movie appeared among others atop my Prime homepage, so I thought I'd check it out. I was expecting a hard-boiled, gritty mob movie--and there are certainly elements of that genre--but I what I wasn't expecting was a classical tragedy it turned out to be, where I know there's no other way it can end but with the deaths of the older order and the alienation of the younger generation and the family's matriarch picking up the pieces. The tragedy is on as soon as Foreign Legion vet with PTSD--and who deserted his post--returns to his hometown, Marseille.
The story was well structured, shot, edited and acted. The lead actor, Jalil Lespert does a fine job playing a vulnerable tough guy, a cross between Frank Castle and Hamlet. The rest of the cast is outstanding, too.
