iT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE i WATCHED A B RATED WESTERN SO I CHOSE THIS ONE FROM THE POSITIVE REVIEWS. iTS ABOUT AN ELDERLY OUTLAW WHO IS NEAR DEATH PLANNING ONE LAST TRIP INTO TOWN TO FIND HIS UNKNOWN DAUGHTER OR TO ROB A BANK ? HIS UNKNOWN PARTNER KEEPS SHOWING UP TO GOAD HIM FOR THE HEIST. SUPERB ACTING FROM LANCE HENRIKSEN ( ALIENS, TERMINATOR ) HE MADE EVEN ME FEEL OLD . ALTHOUGH A BIT UNEVEN AND CRUDELY SHOT I LIKED THIS HOMAGE TO THE OLD WEST>>>>>>>>>

Finally, a western not masquerading as an idiotic Marvel action flick a la the recent "Magnificent Seven"...slowly crafted, strong characters and probably more what the west was actually like than half of the drivel that passes for westerns these days. Lance Henriksen is brilliant as a broken down outlaw fighting to redeem a worthless life and Meg Steele is a delight, hadn't seen her since "Boardwalk Empire", nor had I seen Steve Railsback in a while (watch "Stuntman" to know how good he was back in the day). Henriksen's journey through the dying days of the west is fun to watch, and I love the pacing of it...like a good book the story unfolds before your eyes, not slamming you in the face with a bunch of exposition and action sequences hiding bad character development. People who say it's slow probably think Johnny Depp's "Lone Ranger" or Will Smith's "Wild, Wild West" are classic westerns. This film is a real throwback to classic film and TV western's, and the ending (bet almost no one has watched the post-credits scene) has some very interesting implications. Really enjoyed this one, and if you know who I'm named after, you will too...
