During one of the most turbulent times in TNA's history (and that's saying something!), it's arguable that the promotion was putting together some of the best television they've ever done. It's ironic that all this happened when they basically had zero TV exposure and were trying to live off an internet stream until they could land the SpikeTV deal. "Unbreakable" is the only one-shot PPV event they've ever done, which is odd since it contained one of the greatest matches they ever put together.
Not Worth Watching: There are several undercard matches that are totally worthless on this card, but the biggest disappointment was Jeff Hardy vs. Robert Roode as neither man came out of the match looking good. The four way match for the Tag Team Titles was also forgettable.
Worth Watching: Austin Aries and Roderick Strong put together an excellent undercard match with limited time while the X-Division Title match between longtime rivals Chris Sabin and Petey Williams was nearly a show stopper. The NWA Title match between a Rhino and Raven was a fun hardcore match, though it doesn't achieve the same level as their classic match in the WWE (Backlash 2001, for those interested).
Match of the Night: The main event was a triple threat match between AJ Styles, Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels that still remains one of the two or three greatest matches in TNA ever. They would go on to have several more matches with each other, but this remains their best.
So, despite quite a few duds on the card, this is one event worth picking up thanks to the extraordinary main event and some other great undercard matches; this is a great way to experience the glory days.

The 6 man tag team match between The Diamonds in the Rough against The 3Live Kru stinks but the crowd so that should count for something right? Dr.Robonik:"NO!" The Austin Aries-Roderick Strong match was good but could have gone longer. The Tag team match between the team of Lance Hoyt & Alpolo against the team of Monty Brown & Kip James was fairly boring most of the way though. The Chris Sabin-Petey Williams match was the usual stuff solid stuff from both of them but the finish was needlessly silly. The No-DQ match between Sabu & Abyss was a good reminder of Sabu's days in the 1990's ECW. The Jeff Hardy-Bobby Roode match was okay in spots but still stinks. The 4 way tag team match for the NWA World tag team titles was standard stuff to say the least. The Raven's Rules match for the NWA Worlds title between Raven & Rhino was a fun hardcore brawl and a good reminder of both wrestler's days in the 1990's ECW. The 3 way dance for the X Division title(Christopher Daniels vs. Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles) had great high-flying,ground-and-pound,back-and-forth,heart-pounding,nail-biting action. Translation:It was...AWESOME!!!!! I give this PPV a 6 out of 10.

This was still during the time where TNA was streaming Impact online, right before their deal with Spike TV was finalized and also during Raven's world title run, which I feel was over looked for whatever reasons, though I'm guessing Jeff Jarrett's backstage politcs played a role in Raven's run being downplayed.
We start off in the Impact Zone for the pre-show hosted by Jeremy Borash and "The Franchise" Shane Douglas as they run down the card.
-Cassiday Riley vs. Jerrelle Clark: Its your standard warm-up match, Riley is a follower of Raven's and Clark is a good high flyer with a hell of a finisher called the 630 splash. Nice series of arm drags by both me to start out. Monty Brown interferes about 2 minutes in and cuts a promo, Riley decides to interrupt and Brown pounces him. Brown basically says he wants a title shot and challenges the winner of tonight's title match for a match at Bound For Glory. I always thought Monty's mic skills were vastly underrated. Jarrett comes out and makes his claim to the title, Kip James comes out to calm Monty down, Jeff Hardy hits the ring and an impromtu brawl happens between him and Jarrett. Not a bad segment.
A video package hyping the world title match is next. TNA has always done pretty well with these packages.
-Mikey Batts vs. Shark Boy: Another standard match between two X-Division wrestlers, though clearly Batts is the faster and more vicious of the two as he displays a more ground based style, while still mixing a few high flying moves in. Shark Boy is the fan favorite who does his job pumping the crowd up and he hits the Dead Sea Drop from the second rope for the win in about 4 minutes. 4/10
The PPV starts off with a great and funny video package highlighting the key matches for the show, while taking a bit of a shot at NFL football.
-Diamonds in the Rough (Simon Diamond, Elix Skipper and David Young) vs. 3 Live Kru (Konnan, B.G. James and Ron "The Truth" Killings: Basic warm-up promo from the Kru and not a bad opening match, I just never bought into the Diamonds in the Rough, not bad wrestlers just not a good gimmick. Skipper and James start off, James does his usually goofy offense before making the tag to Truth who back then was very talented, nice double teaming before James is back in and gets hit by a top rope spin kick by Skipper. After a hot tag to Konnan the Kru takes over and Konnan hits David Young with his sneaker then hits the K-Factor for the win in about 5 minutes. An average match. 4/10.
-Austin Aries vs. Roderick Strong: Good reactions to both men's entrances by the fans. These two are more than capable of having a great match due to their unique styles, Aries a high flying southpaw, Strong the messiah of the backbreaker. Great duel of mat based moves by both men. Great back breaker into a throw into the turnbuckle by Strong, who then keeps working on Aries back with various back breakers and submission moves. Aries starts making his comeback and even hits the pendulum elbow on Strong. Great overhead press into a gutbuster for 2 by Strong. Aries hits the brainbuster then the 450 splash for the win in about 8 minutes. This was a well paced and very well done match. 9/10.
-Kip James & Monty Brown vs. Lance Hoyt & Apollo-Fairly thrown together tag team match here, Apollo's normal tag partner Sonny Siaki was injured earlier by Brown and James so now we have this match. Its power vs. power here, as all four men display various power moves. Seems like Brown and James just plain don't like each other though as their are miscues abound between them. But after that James and Brown team up on Hoyt before the hot tag is made to Apollo. Finish comes when Brown reverses an irish whip and hits the Pounce for the win in about 10 minutes. Average tag team match. 5/10.
-Petey Williams vs. Chris Sabin: Mexican wrestler Shocker was supposed to wrestle Sabin, but due to other commitments (i.e. his contract ran out) we have this match. These two rarely if ever had a bad match during 2005 and this is a perfect example of a good one. They know each other pretty well since they trained together to become wrestlers. Both countered each others moves while hitting some good high impact offense. Great spiking DDT by Petey on Sabin. Nice standing dropkick to the back of Williams head. Sabin hits a fisherman's buster for 2. The match turns into counter move after counter move by each man. Finish comes when Sabin counters the Canadian Destroyer in the Cradle Shock for the win in about 12 minutes. 9/10. Post match sees Matt Bentley make his return, superkicks Sabin, says Ultimate X is returning at Bound For Glory, then superkicks Williams.
-Abyss vs. Sabu: Two of the most hardcore wrestlers in recent memory face off. James Mitchell states that this will be a No DQ match, which is good since these two really can't wrestle another style. Pretty stiff punches and chops thrown by both men early on. Doesn't take long for Sabu to start bringing out the hardware, or rather weapons, chairs, tables and this is where the match picks up. Sabu hits a nice springboard DDT for 2. Abyss counters and throws Sabu over the top rope through a table set up on the outside. A brutal chair shot by Sabu as he throws it at Abyss. Great spot by Sabu as he hits the Arabian facebuster on Abyss through a table. Abyss of course brings out the thumbtacks, and Abyss counters a springboard leg drop by Sabu and hits the black hole slam onto the thumbtacks for the win in about 11 minutes. 8/10.
-Bobby Roode vs. Jeff Hardy: This was after Hardy had just come back from a suspension by TNA for being late and sometimes not showing up at shows at all. Jeff always had a great persona, too bad he couldn't keep his problems in check. Roode starts off taking it to Hardy right away, before Hardy counters with his own brand of unique offense. Maybe its just me but Hardy seemed off in this match, much like he was during his first TNA run. This was a more aggressive side of Roode than most fans had seen up to this point as he used stiffer punches and clotheslines throughout. Nice huge backdrop into a couple of covers, both for two counts. Hardy starts to make his comeback hitting the Whisper in the Wind for two. Great overhead suplex by Roode, after Petey Williams comes out to ringside and distracts Hardy. Finish comes when Jeff Jarrett comes out and hits Hardy with the hockey stick allowing Roode to get the win in about 9 minutes. 7/10.
-Four Way Elimination Tag Team Match for the NWA Tag Team Titles: The Naturals (Champions) w/Jimmy Hart vs. America's Most Wanted vs. Team Canada (Eric Young and A-1) vs. Alex Shelley: No thats not a typo, Shelley's partner Sean Waltman was a no show so he went at it alone here. Shelley and Waltman had won the Chris Candido Memorial Tournament a week earlier, to qualify for this match. This is your basic multi team match, but a good one and mainly was focused on the storyline of how the teams of The Naturals and AMW can't stand each other. Shelley displayed some good european style offense, despite being at a disadvantage in this match. Team Canada takes it upon themselves to double team on Shelley. Chris Candido's brother who was in attendance came to the ring to help out Shelley and got in some good clotheslines but he was quickly pinned by Young, so Shelley's team is eliminated. Team Canada keeps the offense up on James Storm of AMW before making the tag his partner Chris Harris, who takes it to both Canadians, with a nice high vertical suplex on A-1. Harris gets cracked over the back with the hockey stick by A-1 and Young rolls him up for the pin, eliminating AMW. It seems like Team Canada has the match in hand, A-1 hits a huge powerbomb on Chase Stevens. Finish comes when Jimmy Hart pushes Young off the top rope allowing the Naturals to hit the Natural Disaster on A-1 for the win in about 18 minutes. 9/10.
-Raven's Rules, NWA Title Match: Rhino vs. Raven (Champion): Nice pre-match video package for this match, really gives it a big match feel. Raven's rules means anything goes, which is best when it comes to these men. Both go for the weapons right away, Raven uses a pizza cutter to cut open Rhino up. Rhino shows his strength by swinging a beer keg at Raven, a couple of times, then takes over hitting Raven with a garbage can using his boot to ram it into his face in the corner. Rhino counters the ankelock with another garbage can shot then uses a staple gun on Raven. Pretty brutal weapon shots and moves by both men throughout this match. Raven hits a series of punches and a kneelift for a two count. Brutal powerbomb from the second rope through a ladder by Raven. Rhino picks up a shopping cart (not an easy thing to do) and puts it in the ring. Rhino goes for the gore but Raven dodges Rhino gores the shopping cart. Finish comes when Jarrett comes down to hit Raven with the title belt but Hardy stops him, Raven hits Jarret with the Raven Effect DDT then hits Rhino with it for the win in about 14 minutes. 9/10.
-Three Way X-Division Title Match: Samoa Joe vs. Christopher Daniels (Champion) vs AJ Styles: Another fantastic video package, which shows why this is the main event of the show. Many fans have called this one of if not the greatest match in TNA history, I would argue it could be in the Top 25 matches of all time. The match starts out with Styles and Joe beating on Daniels for all the problems he'd caused in their previous matches. Each man gets his chance to shine multiple times while putting on an amazing match here. Joe shows plenty of power, while also showing he can take it to the air if needed (shocking for a near 300 lb man), AJ of course does what he does and pulls out moves from seemingly out of nowhere, while Daniels is the veteran who hits plenty of good dives and submission moves. Great spot with AJ hitting a springboard shooting star press onto the outside on both Daniels and Joe. Love how Joe is able to lock in submission moves out of nowhere, like reversing a victory roll by Daniels into the Kokina Clutch. Great strength by Daniels picking up Joe on his shoulders and hitting a death valley driver. More power moves by Joe as he throws both men overhead and off the top rope to the ring. I could try to sum up this match more but it has to be seen to be believed. Finish does come when AJ reverses an Angel Wings attempt by Daniels into a cover for the win in about 20 minutes. Winner and new X-Division champion, AJ Styles.
Overall "Unbreakable" is a pretty good TNA PPV, the only one under this title they ever put on. They changed it to No Surrender in 06. If u can find a copy and you're a collector of TNA DVD's, it's worth searching for.
