Over my past four year I have had a very positive experience at STVM. I have made many friends and connections thanks to the school. I did cross country and track and it felt like another family. Everyone is so friendly and familiar with one another. The school does well keeping the Catholic Tradition alive. There are a variety of things to do and keep yourself busy with. From team sports to things such as rocket team, STVM caters to all. The only thing I did not like was the constant staff and administration changes. Over my past four years we have a variety of people come in and out the building. It would be nice if it was little more stable. Other than that, I enjoyed my time there!
I loved how prepared I feel for college after taking some college prep classes and having four years worth of a college level grading system with all of my classes. I did not like the house system that they actively tried getting us involved in as it was very useless most times. I understand the idea of the system but the school doesn't meet the standards most of the time. I would like to see the house system advance into something better and more useful towards both the faculty and students.
This school means a lot to me and I have been very lucky to be able to attend STVM these last four years. I think that the environment is something that has always stood out to me. It is so easy to make friends and the teachers are always willing to help you. This school truly challenges you academically. There are many honors, AP, and CCP classes to choose from which can help prepare you for college and your future major. Personally, I want to be a civil engineer and I really feel like this school is preparing me for that future.
