It's been a busy few months for Kit Harington, a.k.a. Jon Snow. Now that Game of Thrones has ended after eight seasons, Kit is now taking time off for himself, via checking into a rehab facility—and his wife Rose Leslie, also a GoT alum, is 100 percent behind him.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Kit has been in a Connecticut health retreat for nearly a month—nearly coinciding with the final episode of GoT. “Kit has decided to utilize this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues,” read a statement released by his representative.

Regarding the show's end, a friend of Kit told the New York Post that the end of GoT “really hit Kit hard” and that Rose is “being extremely supportive.” Some reports even claim that Kit checked himself into a treatment center specifically for Rose, per Us Weekly.

Clearly, the two care a lot about each other—but how did their real-life romance start? Here's everything you need to know about Kit Harington and wife Rose Leslie's relationship.

Kit later told Vogue Italia that they fell in love IRL while they were filming, with Iceland as the perfect backdrop. “The country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love,” he said. “If you’re already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it’s becomes very easy to fall in love.”

August 2012: They are spotted out together for the first time.

TMZ broke the news that Kit and Rose were kinda-sorta dating when the news site published pics of the two looking cozy during a dinner date in London. Apparently sources inside the restaurant—Rossopomodoro, an Italian eatery—also told the website that Kit and Rose were seen kissing during their date.

August 2013: Kit and Rose break up

While neither Kit nor Rose officially confirmed their relationship, the two reportedly broke up in 2013, per The Stir. ""Rose and Kit are no longer together," a source said, according to the outlet. July 2014: The two are spotted together at Comic-Con, sparking on-again rumors.

After the two were spotted together looking all chummy at 2014's San Diego Comic-Con, a source confirmed to Us Weekly that they’d definitely reunited. Rose and Kit announced their engagement in the sweetest way possible: With a newspaper announcement in the U.K.’s Times. “MR. K.C. HARINGTON AND MISS R.E. LESLIE. The engagement is announced between Kit, younger son of David and Deborah Harington of Worcestershire, and Rose, middle daughter of Sebastian and Candy Leslie of Aberdeenshire,” it read, per People.

Kit later said that he screwed up the proposal a little. “I did have some plans to do it, I was going to string up some lights in some trees and do all the romantic stuff, but we were in the country and we were under this beautiful night sky and had a log fire burning and red wine and I blew my load early,” he told U.K.’s Jonathan Ross Show, per People.

So, Kit and Rose moved in together but he pulled an April Fool’s Day prank that almost messed things up. Kit put what looked like a severed head in the refrigerator, as one does. “After that, she was in tears, and I was there going, ‘April Fools.’ It didn’t go down well,” Kit said on The Jonathan Ross Show. "She pretty much told me that if I did it ever again, that would be it, and I think that’s marriage included.”
