This was such an awesome movie.
The way they brought all these short stories together into a cohesive movie made for such a great experience. Especially considering each story had a different director, writer, cast, and crew.
I wish there were more short story collections developed into a movie like this.
Some definitely more than others, but each individual still really moved me.
The plot for each did a great job of building up intrigue from the very beginning to rope the viewer in.
I also really liked how some of these stories had A list actors in them mixed with B list actors that I still recognized from shows I’ve seen.
Going into the movie, I thought James Franco…
A UCLA school project with A-list celebrities sprinkled throughout. Seven vignettes so awful that their idiosyncratic characters just turn annoying. Let's say the seven directors are merely lackluster, it's the seven scripts that are unpardonable.
natalie portman’s involvement in this is like buying a ferrari for your sixteen year old.
The cast on the DVD cover got me to check this one out. This is a 7 part movie directing and starring 7 different group of actors, writers and directors. Most of the 7 are pretty weak stories. I thought the Kristen Wiig, Natalie Portman and James Franco chapters were the best....but the rest were a waste of time. So 3 out 7 is 42.85%..so this movie gets a 2 star rating from me.
An antholgy film with a phenomenal cast and occasionally some sharp and incisive writing. For the most part though it's just dreadfully dull and packed with the sort of eye rollingly quasi-deep navel gazer philosophising that makes me want to grab the film by it's metaphorical shoulders and shake it til it stops talking...

Since many of the reviews on here ripped this movie to shreds my expectations were dangerously low -- to the point where this film exceeded them. I actually found a lot of good in this movie which was unexpected. Obviously the talent is there for many. Multiple vignettes within this movie deserve more time and development.
Going in with the knowledge that none of the stories will be wrapped up in a bow and closure would be forgotten in each I found myself enjoying each story for what they were. I'd say out of the seven presented only one was an absolute waste of time. It addressed the many…
Artistically advanced shit is still shit! Do not become aroused by the names! This is shit!
interesting. anthology movies are always a bit weird and jarring and this one feels like a set of short stories,
There seemed to be no closure to any of the segments. Just random moments, out of context, with no hither or yon. Film school diploma project that got some named talent to give 5 minutes of their time. I am none the wiser because of it. Nor was I truly entertained.
