Environmental Film Series: Common Ground

From the filmmakers behind the documentary Kiss the Ground comes an equally inspiring investigation into the relationship between soil, agriculture, and climate health. Narrated by Laura Dern, this documentary follows the pioneers of the Regenerative Agriculture Movement who reject the practices of Big Agriculture and instead use the practices established by Indigenous and Black farmers that value a healthy ecosystem for all. Featuring a star-studded cast, as well as illuminating interviews with farmers and agricultural scholars, Common Ground thoughtfully leaves its audiences the challenge of implementing direct action in their own communities. This screening will be followed by a panel discussion as part of Boone County and City of Columbia’s Office of Sustainability Environmental Film Series.
