Marvellous performances in very human stories by Andy Hamilton. Actors like these could read from a telephone directory and make tears of laughter roll down your cheeks, but give them scripts this good and, well, words fail me. The one negative aspect of this DVD set is that it is the only way the third (Christmas) series is available. I decided to wait until the price had dropped significantly, because I already had bought the first two series when they were issued together as a boxed set, which I am now obliged to purchase all over again. It took over a year, but the wait only made the pleasure of seeing the third series more sweet. Hurrah for the writer, actors, director, and everybody else involved in the production; shame on the marketing department for a despicable packaging choice.
