Wonderful remixes, but a ton of surface noise on side A so far - and I wet cleaned it right out of the sleeve. Frustrating.
Very well done and entertaining remixes. Although "White China" has appeared in remixed form before, it's great that other standout tracks on "Lament" have been given a similar treatment. I really like what Steven has done. Of note is that the A side tracks may very well remain unique to this RSD release, so Ultravox completists take note!- My copy has some surface noise on Side A and is heavily warped. Are your copys fine, maybe Ill buy another one then.
Years ago when I bought the first remastered edition of Lament and saw the White China Special Re-Mix (love the spelling in those days), I looked everywhere for a 12" of White China only to find none. Now here is a !2" of White China (plus the other songs which are amazing) that I could never find years ago. The mixes on this are brilliant!- Yes, why #9 on the cover? It says UVX7 as cat#, which would fit in if you continue from the last U-Vox single >> Ultravox - All In One Day UVX 6 (When Warren Cann had already left the group).
There was 3 UK singles voxx 2 UVX 1, and UVX 2. In Germany there was Heart of the Country as 7" and 12", and, also a very strange Man Of Two Worlds 7" in Germany (???!) the last two have basically the Lament artwork, so... back again -
why #6?? 
What's the reason for the big #6 embossed on the cover? Is there some special meaning?- Edited one month agoDoes anyone else have noise at the start of side 2, B1 When The Time Comes? My copy of this is perfect aside from that. Kudos to Steven Wilson for these remixes. They are stunning. I've essentially been a life long Midge Ure Ultravox fan since I was a teenager (Oh... Wastelands) and these are amazing.
