Terri Walker’s ‘Finally Over You’ Is A Super-Smooth Return

Produced by Children Of Zeus, no less...

Terri Walker returns with ‘Finally Over You’.

The song follows her 2022 release ‘No Good Man’, and it finds the vocalist expanding her soulful palette. Manchester duo Children Of Zeus – Tyler Daley and Konny Kon – supply production, and it moves between jazz-tinged neo-soul and R&B heaven.

The lush opening chords recall Herbie Hancock, while Terri’s beautiful vocal puts you in mind of prime Erykah or Lauryn. A dexterous return, it finds the vocalist moving with complete confidence in her own abilities, with ‘Finally Over You’ relishing the sense of freedom that comes with placing memories to one side.

The sound of someone cutting ties with what doesn’t serve her, ‘Finally Over You’ rejoices in the spirit of creation, and moving on.

“’Finally Over You’ sets the tone for this next offering,” she says, and “[I have] arrived at my destination to reap the rewards of my labour.”

Tune in now.
