(ROLEPLAY) Guide to Cop Roleplay

You do NOT need a modded PS3, Xbox. The save editor decrypts everything

 

Now you can become a real cop being a REAL police officer playable NPC, with original voice and police can't kill you! The only thing you need to do is to set your player model as a LSPD officer, sheriff, park ranger, SWAT, whatever police force you want to be, and you can be a FEMALE cop! Features when playing as a cop player model.

 

-When getting a wanted level, cops will come to the scene but won't attempt to arrest you or shoot you, in fact, if a NPC in the scene is wanted they will assist you. You will be like another NPC for them.

-When losing a wanted level (When cops are looking for you and can't find you) they won't be able to find you, and in the hud, you will appear as another cop showing your field of view in blue.

-When fighting somebody, you will get a wanted level and if the fight didn't end yet, more police officers will arrive and assist you.

-When fighting, the player will insult the enemy NPC and you can also taunt him by pressing the right Dpad button in PS3.

-When somebody bumps into you car, your player will say things like "Hey, this is city property!"

-You can now stare at cops as long as you want without touching them. They won't warn you to leave.

 

Crash/bugs/Stuff to know:

 

-Switching your player again will freeze your character and will make you do the same first steps.

-Trying to change clothes in the closet will result in the same.

-If you fail a mission game will be stuck loading forever.

-If you save the game, you won't be able to load it.

-When getting a 3-4 star wanted level, SWAT and helicopters will appear. SWAT NPC's and the helicopter shooters will NOT treat you as a cop and will shoot you.

-IMPORTANT: If you push a police officer and he gets mad, the next time you get a wanted level, if that police officer is nearby, he will shoot you. If police are responding to your wanted level, they will usually walk past you, but if you get on their way or push them accidentally, they will detect you and attempt to arrest/shoot you!

-IMPORTANT: If in the save editor, after replacing the PSIN file you don't change your current character as the character you saved the game, and leave it blank, your game will be stuck on the loading screen forever.

-IMPORTANT: If you mess with the hex editor, it may cause a game crash or failing to load. I recommend using the beta SP model swapper metioned in the link. It works perfectly and includes a list of the player models.

-Police models are:

S_F_Y_Sheriff_01 (Female sheriff), S_M_Y_Sheriff_01, CSB_Cop (Cutscene, may not be treated as a cop by NPC's), S_F_Y_Cop_01, (Female LSPD), S_M_M_SnowCop_01 (North Yankton), S_M_Y_Cop_01 (LSPD), S_M_Y_HwayCop_01 (Highway Patrol), S_M_Y_Ranger_01 (Park ranger), S_F_Y_Ranger_01 (Female park ranger), IG_TrafficWarden (Not really a cop but he puts parking tickets), S_M_Y_Swat_01 (SWAT), S_M_M_PrisGuard_01 (Correctional officer, prison guard). You can also become security, paramedic, firefighter. You will be treated as so by other NPC's. Also, you can play as animals.

My players are: Michael: Female sheriff. Trevor: Male sheriff. Franklin: LSPD Officer.

 

Also, if you want to have a partner, you will need to do the elk hunting mission glitch, you can find this below in 4.1 NO POLICE GLITCH. Marked as IMPORTANT. You won't be able to force the driving sheriff out of the car, so you will need to force somebody into comitting a crime, call 911 and make them get out of the car. When they are finished, the driving sheriff will walk away, and his partner will get in your car. If this isn't the case, kill one of them by running them over with your car, as you can't kill them with weapons (They are like allies to you), and let the other enter your car. If you do this out of the mission, when the cop NPC enters your car, you will get a wanted level and he will ATTACK YOU!

 

HAVE FUN!

 

Now the old tutorial:

 

(Considering you like serious Roleplay, or semi-serious)

0. Going on duty.
-Option A: To go on duty, put on your Police Outfit and drive with your normal car to the nearest police station, and then, steal a police car (Consider using cheats).
-Option B: With a previously saved police car waiting for you in your garage, just take that police car instead of stealing one.
-Option C: Have different types of Police vehicles in your character's garage outside the safe house (The garages marked in orange for Trevor, green for Franklin and blue for Michael), like 2 Police Cruisers, one FIB rancher, and a Police bike, or 4 Police Cruisers, 2 with the Sheriff livery, 1 with the "POLICE" interceptor livery, and one with the LSPD livery.
-Option D (The more RP'ish) You MUST (Or it won't work) take a copcar stored in your garage. Go on duty, play for a bit, and when you're finished, instead of saving the car, leave it badly parked. For example, in the middle of the sidewalk, middle of the road, blocking a city tunnel, etc... Go off duty by going home (Leaving the police car not too far from home.) And the next day you want to go on duty, the police car you abandoned will be impounded. Instead of thinking it was impounded, start a new hard-work day, drive to the Police Station, and get your impounded car as if it was in the LSPD garage.

1. Taking off helmets
-Michael: Simply enter a car, switch to another character, and switch back. No helmet anymore outside the car!
-Trevor: Go to a clothes shop with hats, select no hat.

2. Pulling vehicles over. Vehicles will get out of your way, but they won't pull over. As soon as the siren goes off they will continue moving, so when they pull over, park your car in front of their vehicle so you block their way. (Alternatively, you can roleplay that the vehicle attempts to escape and pull him over again, but this time, blocking his way)

2.1 Asking them to step out of the vehicle.
-To ask them to step out of the vehicle, get next to the driver window and press the right arrow in PS3 or the right Dpad in Xbox 360. The player will usually shout/taunt them, so there are two possible reactions from the Pedestrians:

-The shy/normal citizens/females, will usually say something like "Whatever dude", or "Oh man/Leave me alone!", and they will flee athigh speed, meaning that a chase has begun.
-The though guys/inmigrants will usually insult you too and refuse to get out. After 3-4 taunts from the player, they will get out of the vehicle and attack you, unless you draw a taser/gun to them. If so, they will flee on foot, so be ready to run! You can also draw your nightstick/baton to knock them out if they attack you.

-So basically, they will never collaborate with you, as they will treat you as a random person without any Police Uniform asking them to do so.

2.2 Getting them out of the vehicle.

-This option is less aggressive when used as Michael, as he will just open the door and shout at them to get out of the vehicle, whilst Trevor will just point his gun at them, so use this option as Trevor after a long car chase, or a frustrated crime.

3. Driving normally.

Driving in Grand Theft Auto 5 is easier than in IV. You must practise a lot by moving the stick softly to the sides and acknowledge the reaction time/smoothness of the controls, also with the accelerator and brake.

-To turn on the brake lights (Without the brake itself) just tap both accelerator and brake triggers in the controler very softly, just touching them, without pression (This is very soft in PS3), and you'll see as your rear lights will just turn on.

-To turn on the brake lights (With the functional brake). Simply do the same as above, but at the same time, hold the handbrake button too. This is very useful when stopping in a traffic light, as it emulates you holding the brake pedal with your foot.

3.1 Always keep security distance.

AI in GTA V is very great and includes not hitting you from behind when stopped in a traffic light, also giving you way in yields/stop signs, etc... But they will still change lanes by using the turn signal half a second, and brake suddenly.

3.2 Speeding

After a while of normally driving, you'll get tired of going so slow, and you'll usually think. Why am I driving normally? This is a game! Let's speed it to the limit so I can arrive faster, but just for a bit and then I'll resume. WRONG! The more tired you are and exhausted of driving like that, the best you'll feel when there's an emergency, or a Police chase around, thinking: "Finally, I can speed it up!" You'll enjoy even more chasing criminals this way.

3.2.1 Forcing emergencies.

-A good way to force a Police chase around you is to call 911 while driving/stopped. A police cruiser will show up. Follow him when he leaves, and you'll notice as in less than 2 minutes it will start chasing up a random vehicle. The driver of said vehicle, (That won't stop fleeing), when fully stopped, will be given a low rank weapon, and if there are any passengers in the vehicle, there might be more armed suspects. This is totally random, so if the copcar you were following randomly chose a SUV with 4 grandmas on it, the grandmas will start firing shotguns/guns at the cops.

3.3 Turn signals (Not useful at all, but entertaining)

Find a police vehicle/normal car that its brake lights and normal lights are separated (Use different bulbs/light blocks) Shoot the front lights, so that they won't disturb you. Now very carefully, shoot the top of a rear light block that lights up when you brake, and in the other rear light panel, shoot the one that lights up when the normal lights are toggled.

Use the brake softly to turn on the left/right turn signal, and use the left Dpad or left arrow of your controller (Headlights) to turn it on/off (At night it needs to be double-tapped)

4. Know your cheats

-If you're going on a Police chase with other cops, you wanna make sure you know how to lower your wanted level, as they will not recognise you as a cop and will shoot you as a criminal. (R1 R1 CIRCLE R2 LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT)

4.1 (VERY IMPORTANT) No police glitch

Ever wanted the cops to be there to protect you, but ignore you even if you punch them in the face? Well here's your glitch! (Also allows you to enter Fort Zancudo, and Bolingbroke Penitentiary)

-(Only works as Trevor) Repeat the cletus mission (Strangers and freaks) "Hunter" If you haven't done it yet, meet Cletus, and do his second mission, about hunting. Instead of following him, go to the road, call 911 and steal that Police Car. You'll notice that the passenger cop will stay in the car with you, and you'll get no wanted level.

(NOT ANYMORE) The bad thing about this glitch is that all the roads look empty. Only a few trucks/cars will appear. (The ones that are like scenic, meant to stop at places, gas stations...)

 

*27/02/2014 EDIT!*

 

In order to re-enable traffic and peds in the highway/streets, you must do the following:

 

-Follow Cletus' instructions, kill the two elks.

-When he tells you about killing one on your own and sending him a picture of the elk you hunted down, go find that last elk.

-When you have it in sight, kill it. A red marker will appear on the corpse location, saying "Get close to the corpse" or something like that.

-DON'T go to the corpse, and go to the nearest road/highway, you'll notice that there's traffic back again. (The traffic is low, but at least there is!)

-Call 911, two police officers will arrive in a Sheriff Cruiser.

-When they stop and they turn off the vehicle siren, get in front of the car, so you block their way.

-Enter the car, forcing the driving officer to leave (Don't shoot or force them out, they just won't chase you, that's the glitch!)

-When you are inside the car, QUICKLY hold the accelerate button, so the door doesn't close, and the player has to close it while in motion.

-You will notice that the second officer didn't get out of the car, becoming your new patrol partner. (Sometimes, he might be holding a flashlight.)

-If you stop your car more than 5 seconds with your partner inside, he will get out and start walking (Similar to when you kidnap a stolen vehicle passenger that didnt' manage to get out of the car)

-If some NPC near your partner commits a crime (Runs someone over, shoots, etc...) The partner will begin chasing that NPC. The COOL thing here is:

If the NPC being chased is driving a car, your partner will use the speaker and say "Pull over, now!" "LSPD, stop your vehicle!" "Turn off the engine in your vehicle!" And even call for backup!

(I recommend doing this by passing several times near the biker's bar, near the submersible nuclear waste search point, at the west highway of the map.)

 

5. Cool tricks/Misc

-If you double tap the Police siren button it will play a different siren sound, like priority sirens.
-If you pay attention to the Police Radio you hear while in a police car, it will say funny things like: Officer set on fire in huh... (Random location, usually north vinewood, funny how they will stay say North vinewood while you're in Blaine County)

Nice. I like to play my game pretty realistic, might try this out sometime.

I never knew until now that you can actually get police vehicles impounded.

Tested it with a Sheriff SUV and it works great!

I don't get it. I mean, if you're gonna raise hell while dressed as a cop, sure, but most of what your guide descibed consists of harassing people you pull over and joining other cops during their police chases.

Michael

He is my run-of-the-mill cop (officer) doing everything from traffic stops for the SAHP and LSPD to gang patrol for the LSPD.

I gotta try this stuff sometime. I own the Police Riot and FIB Buffalo. Both have BP Tires, too. I do like cruising around in the police vehicles in GTA V, a lot. Soon I'll get the Unmarked Cruiser and customize that, too. Classic Rod tires look badass on that vehicle with the addition of BP tires and all the upgrades, including Limo Tint.

Guys where do i find the unmarked cruiser?

Under the bridge in Strawberry in the little loop near the impound garages anywhere from 8 PM until 7 AM (In game time).

 

The Unmarked Cruiser will alternate spawning with the Police Bike, Police Buffalo, and Police Transporter, as well.

I'm about to add a really useful glitch, when playing as Trevor and doing the hunting mission for Cletus, that disables wanted level.

Yeah, Target Practice or Fair Game. That's been known since September which allows you to explore Fort Zancudo, Bolingbroke Penitentiary, the Police Stations, etc.

Any one have any tips for getting the Sheriff Granger without getting it completely shot to hell and without using cheats? I mean I have no problem getting any of the other stuff, Riot, Transporter, whatever, the problem is just getting the Sheriff Granger(FIB spawns at the dishes(when it rarely works) and I have a way to get them in the city fairly easy almost brand new) without getting it shot to sh*t by the time you lose the bastards. Of course I mean, I know I can just store it and load the save, but I don't have any room and I'm not really willing to lose any of my cars for a vehicle that can't be customized and that you're bound to destroy within 20 minutes. Plus I like a challenge.

Nah, for me, if I switch characters, and then switch back, I am still in my police vehicle and it's fully repaired.

This sound like some fun. I wish they still had the most wanted criminals and other random police things that were in IV

If they patched this, I think the only option is suicide...

Thanks to a recent update, Trevor can get his helmet off back again! Hold the SELECT button and put on a hat! And also, both Michael and Trevor can get rid of the walkie-talkie, handgun, etc... Equipment on their SAHP vest by wearing a mask and getting it off, they will ONLY have the police uniform without any equipment.

 

(There is also a glitch where Trevor wakes up in a bridge, naked, but wearing the blue police helmet, the walkie talkie on his right nipple, and the belt fully equipped... But naked!)

Interesting, I'll be sure to do some of this stuff next time I play.

I did this a lot yesterday...can't get it to work today, every time I switch with wheel to leave online, it gets stuck on 'initializing session' help i'm about to break my xbox

After you get your patrol vehicle, go to Ammunation and buy the following weapons:

 

Normal Officer: Pistol, Pump Shotgun, Stun Gun, Nightstick, and (optional) Tear gas.

 

S.W.A.T: Carbine Rifle, SMG, Body Armor, Tear Gas.

 

Military: Carbine Rifle, Sniper Rifle. Body Armor.

After you get your patrol vehicle, go to Ammunation and buy the following weapons:

 

Normal Officer: Pistol, Pump Shotgun, Stun Gun, Nightstick, and (optional) Tear gas.

 

S.W.A.T: Carbine Rifle, SMG, Body Armor, Tear Gas.

 

Military: Carbine Rifle, Sniper Rifle. Body Armor.

Shouldn't the Military include the Combat MG (with a scope) and the Shotgun? I've seen the Marines wield both.

Ik this is late, sorry. I just have one question. I see that if you save your game with this on it won't load. If this is the case then how are you supposed to play this every time you want? Do you plug in the USB whenever?
