I loved these guys when I was a kid and I love this set which covers their best albums. They were "folk" in name but added hard-driving rhythm and eloquent harmonies. Sorry, but neither the Kingston nor Chad Mitchell were ever as good a show. Their wide choices of songs cover many truly beautiful sounds and tales--always delivered with a passion and power no one else ever matched. Glenn Yarbrough's purest--achingly so at times--tenor; Alex's facility and breadth; Lou's wit and thumping bass-- all add up to the classic Limeliters of the early 60's. This would be the best set to buy if you were buying only one.

The quality is excellent as is the variety of their most popular songs.

As others have noted, this combines four earlier albums. These were "The Limelighters", "The Slightly Fabulous Limelighters", "Tonight: In Person", and "Sing Out".

There are a total of 45 tracks on these two disks. Unfortunately, those who produced them failed to include metadata which means, if you want it, having to do a bunch of manual entry.

If you already have these albums with metadata, don't bother. If you don't and either don't care about having the metadata or are willing to enter it, get this two disk set.
