Cons
IconWorn train
I took the train EC 219 from Heidelberg to Salzburg. The train also went through Munich. I travelled second class and did not make a reservation, yet there were enough seats so I did not have to stand. The train looked worn and in questionable technical condition. The Board Bistro was closed that day. The on-board staff were always friendly and courteous. The train was not delayed for the entire journey. The journey was not bad in that respect, only the old train was in need of improvement.
Pros

Cons

The train connection from Munich to Salzburg was exceptionally punctual. The train departed and arrived exactly on time. The train was overall clean and well maintained. The seats and floor were in good condition, but there was some litter on the tables. A pleasant surprise was that there were plenty of power sockets on this train. The train was easily accessible for people with mobility impairments and there was plenty of room for wheelchairs. The toilets on the train were clean, but could be better maintained. Overall, my train journey from Munich to Salzburg was a very positive experience. The punctuality and availability of electricity on the train are particularly noteworthy.

Cons

IconTrain cancellations
My train journey was very pleasant. I had a seat and my power socket at my seat also worked. My wifi also worked well and the staff were super nice and helpful to me. I was a little late, but the delay was limited. I've experienced other things from Deutsche Bahn. Nevertheless, the price is very attractive and I would choose Deutsche Bahn again.
Pros
IconReplacement train for train cancellation
IconCourteous service
Cons
IconTrain cancellations again and again
The connection is great. Unfortunately, there are always cancellations on the route. Fortunately, you can switch to other connections. Travelling by regional train is a little slower and the trains are often quite full. Sometimes there are only a few carriages. Otherwise, the train connection is recommended, as it is quick and easy to get from Munich to Salzburg.
Pros
IconLots of comfort for a fair price
IconFast train connection
Cons
IconNone
The train was extremely punctual, which made the journey stress-free. The ticket price was reasonable, but a more flexible fare structure would be desirable. The trains were mostly clean, but some compartments could do with more intensive cleaning. The wifi worked flawlessly and made for a productive journey. The toilets were acceptable, but could be cleaned more often. The seats were comfortable, but an easily adjustable backrest would be a plus. Overall the train journey was pleasant, small improvements in cleanliness and seat comfort could further improve the travelling experience.
Pros
IconFast drive
Cons
IconWas too expensive for me personally
The view on the journey was really nice and calming. It was easy to relax and I watched series via the train's wifi while occasionally taking in the beautiful scenery. The service was also great and courteous. The only thing I could have worked on was the price, but that was probably because I should have bought my ticket earlier. Otherwise, I was completely satisfied

Cons

I really liked the ride. The beautiful view was very calming and it was very quiet the whole journey. Normally there is a delay, but this time the train left exactly on time. It's a bit expensive for the price, but it's completely fine.

The train journey from Munich to Salzburg was a great trip and very pleasant. It started with the fact that the train was on time and arrived on time and I didn't have to change trains during the journey. The train was definitely very comfortable, firstly because my seat was very comfortable and secondly because there was a lot of space and legroom. I'd love to do it again!

Cons
IconThe wifi
When I travelled by train, it was a through route. In other words, I could easily travel from Munich Central Station to Salzburg Central Station. When I got on the train, I was greeted by a member of staff. She immediately asked for my ticket, I showed it to her and everything proceeded as normal. I left around midday and arrived 2 hours later. The friendliness of the staff was very good, but the cleanliness of the toilets was rather poor, the ticket was fairly priced. The worst thing about the journey was the wifi

The journey from Munich to Salzburg was short and sweet. The train set off on time and reached Salzburg without any delays. I was able to do a bit of work on board as the wifi worked smoothly. The service was good, as coffee was served at my seat. It was clean and pleasant on board. The price of the journey was also quite reasonable. I particularly enjoyed the scenery along the route.

IconPrice too high
I travelled on the ÖBB IC 460 and I have to say I was satisfied with everything for the short journey except that I paid a little more than I would have expected for the service. It was a relatively short journey and we arrived on time, but on average I pay just as much for a longer journey. But the service was great and at least I arrived on time.
