Ah, the ’90s. It was a special, if at times problematic, moment in queer cinema history.
While LGBTQ+ representation wasn’t anywhere near what it is today, the decade saw more gay stories being told on screen than ever before, and it helped usher in an entire generation of truly outstanding queer talent.

I got 50, but I think we need to discuss what “iconic” means.

I think I’ve seen 32 of them but I could only swear to about 16. I would have put “My Left Foot” and “Longtime Companion” on the list.

IMHO, some of these are a little too obscure, and even the more well-known ones, I probably have watched, and largely forgotten about….
….apart from Priscilla. I can quote lines from that movie until the cows come home!!

Someone needs to check their math. I saw 42 out of 50 movies, yet only scored 47??? I agree Longtime Companion should be on the list.

Some of these are from the 1980’s.

Notable absences are All about my mother (1999) and Happy together (1997), the list is not credible.
