Jim Croce – I Got A Name

Fantastic record, a masterpiece from an all time great singer songwriter.

Quite an amazing pressing, and oh the bass! So much bass!

This is a really nice album and the US pressing is really nice with good vocals and range.

Totally awesome Croce album, with his unique mixture of melancholy poetry & the bar-room sing-along song. Classic Croce rendered with both fidelity & deep, articulate bass. Great mastering & pressing on dead-silent vinyl.

Dad used to take us for Sunday rides in the convertible listening to his greatest hits album. One of those musicians I really wish I could have just hung out and smoked a joint with. He was long gone before I was born and this album has helped me a lot of times in my life! RIP JIM

Obviously great record. Great pressing BUT totally unacceptable how dirty the record was and the number of scuffs. Never seen this on a brand new album. Noise between songs but otherwise silent very good sound after heavy cleaning. No can do about all the scuffs...

The weakest of his studio albums but it does contain the beautiful "The Hard Way Every Time".

Andrew smith and i played on several records in new york where either credits were given to someone else or we just did not get any credits..... We also played on a jim croce hit called ““i got a name”......Guess what?? The album list other musicians as the players.........
About that record, when we had recorded that song andrew and i were staying together in new brunswick, new jersey until we moved our families to the east coast and not even one week after we recorded that song we heard it on the radio And loved the sound of our instruments, the mix, and thought it sounded great!!!!!!!!!!!!!
