There are a lot of bosses in Terraria. Here, you can learn the order to defeat pre-Hardmode and Hardmode bosses.

Many of them show up randomly or once you meet certain requirements, but you'll often want to farm them for specific loot, or just for how lucrative they can be. One of these events is the Solar Eclipse, and it contains a variety of great items like weapons, wings, and some handy accessories. If you want to farm it and its' loot, you'll need plenty of Solar Tablets.

How To Get A Solar Tablet

Player character flying in the air during a blizzard and green text stating a solar eclipse is happening is on the screen in Terraria.

If you want to get your hands on a Solar Tablet, you'll first need to be in Hardmode, and you'll also need to have beaten Plantera, and obtained the Jungle Temple Key from her.

If you meet all those requirements, head over to the Jungle and go down underground to the Jungle Temple.

If you haven't found the Jungle Temple before now, look for reddish-brown, unbreakable blocks deep in the underground Jungle. They'll form a large, oblong rectangular shape.

Once you reach it, locate the entrance in one of the top corners, and unlock the door to the Jungle Temple with your key, or if you've got it unlocked already, head on inside the temple. From here, there are two ways to get Solar Tablets:

  • From Lihzahrd Chests.
  • And fighting enemies within the Temple.

Whole Solar Tablets can be found in any Lihzahrd Chests within the Temple, and there's roughly a 20 percent chance of getting one from them.

If you want to farm Solar Tablets, so you can farm the Solar Eclipse event, you can defeat Flying Snakes and Lihzahrd enemies. These two enemy types each have about a 15 percent chance of dropping one to two Solar Tablet Fragments.

You can also find Solar Tablet Fragments on their own or alongside whole Tablets inside Lihzahrd Chests.

You can combine eight of these Solar Tablet Fragments at a Mythril or Orichalcum Anvil to create a single Solar Tablet.
