About "another time another place"
I came across this album of John Deacon by chance on Spotify, and although someone does vocals in the songs, no one other than John Deacon is written in the song's info. Is this person John Deacon? If not, who is he?
It's a different bloke. John never recorded a solo album, though he did play as a session bassist and produced a couple of albums.
This person is "A" John Deacon, but he is not "OUR" John Deacon.
I looked into this a few years ago (but didn't memorize how I found the info, so sorry I am unable to provide links).
The John Deacon who recorded this album is : From England by birth, fairly close in age to Sweet Deaky... but has a different middle name, and (at the time of my search for info) had moved to Texas, USA many years ago.
And that's really all I vaguely remember about that.
There was Brian May, an Australian film composer and conductor. And there is Roger Taylor, drummer in a band popular in the 80s....
Also - don't forget about Deacon John, musician from US.
I believe the only "solo" work done by Queen's John Deacon is the theme tune from the spectacularly terrible 80s film 'Biggles: Adventures In Time', as performed by a group calling itself The Immortals.
There’s a song called “John Deacon” by Spotswood Abbey. The bass line is reminiscent of AOBTD.
