We had 2 meals here. The burgers are great and HUGE! The fries are plentiful. We enjoyed the salad. The service is great and fairly fast.

Went here for date night and I have to say Gigi our server was a dream. Happy, delightful, but more than that astute to a problem that came up.
We ordered the charcuterie board which was phenomenal. But… it was so large it took us a long while to eat it. While we were about half way done our mains showed up and we were not even close to being ready for them.
The man who was the food runner stared at us and o said put them on the other side of the table and he did. He then left.
6 minutes later Gigi came by to ask how we were. She saw us still Eating the appetizer and our food sitting there getting cold.
Long story short, she apologies and takes the food back to the kitchen. She comes back a couple of minutes later and tells us the chef apologized and that there is a timing stern for when food gets sent out and for us to let her know when we were ready for dinner.
The question is- why did the guy leave the food there in the first place when we were clearly not ready for it.
I’m any case Gigi took care of us and the new version on the meals came out and were outstanding. I had the see bass, possibly the best piece of bass I’ve had and my day had the fried chicken. He loved it and I loved mine. Stellar food.
With the way Gigi took care of us we will be back. You should go too.

Inside the south lobby is a jewel. Stop and have a snack or super breakfast. Ask for Percy he is a happy guy with a super attitude and a great server

I gave this a 3 only because our waiter was excellent. We stayed at the Marquis on December 10, 2022. We had 3 rooms. Got up this morning and headed to the buffet. I generally let issues go but this buffet was one of the worse meals I have ever had. The bacon was greasy, and the eggs and triangle hash browns had no taste at all. The food was on the cold side also. My husband went to the buffet and got me an omelette. Sad to say but this wasn’t good either. My husband wasn’t pleased with his meal either. The rest of my family had fruit, danish etc so there was no complaints there. I think the buffet was $30 per person.
The hotel is so nice. Very clean and staff everywhere were exceptional. Sorry Marriott, but I just had to share this information. VM

The menu is rather limited. They try some creative takes on food (like cheesecake) but it just doesn’t work. The food is not bad, but it’s just not that good either. I would leave the hotel and hit up one of the local restaurants.

Ate here at dinner and breakfast. The dinner was great! We got burgers and salads. Everyone was happy with their meal. Breakfast for $31 was a little on the high side. The buffet was ok but nothing great.

We had such a terrific time at Marina Kitchen, Aubrey was absolutely fantastic! The vibe here was very warm and welcoming. I loved the P.S. Cocktail and quail, I can't recall having such a great meal in quite a while. I love the ambiance here and the view of the pool, so relaxing. The location is so convenient as it's located inside the Marriott Marquis. I had a really amazing experience here and look forward to coming back to enjoy their food again very soon.

My husband and I decided to have a cup of coffee and a dessert in the Marina Kitchen Restaurant in the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina Hotel on Sunday night. The waiter was extremely rude! Horrible service! I would not recommend to dine in the Marina Kitchen restaurant.

It was really a horrible experience. Rooms are old, not updated at all. Beds are horrible, mattress has lumps, really uncomfortable. Shower has no water pressure. Internet works intermittently. Covid cleaning procedures, advertised, seem to be reduced to put the TV remote in a plastic bag and save in cleaning services. Only one small container of shampoo, conditioner and cream. A small bar of soap!

The restaurant was clean. The wait staff was friendly and helpful, my meal came out in a decent amount of time. I had a table overlooking the pool area at night which was beautiful and the food was reasonably priced and delicious.

We ate here a few times. We had the appetizer chicken pot pie with tator tots which was good and the chicken jirdi with potato salad and cole slaw was wonderful.

Great breakfast, selection was great. Omelets station was wonderful. Leo was very attentive and made sure we had coffee, water, and juice. Bonus was their Miso soup. Very very tasty.

The room was only cleaned when I called and asked, there was no room service except for 'pantry food' which makes it difficult for someone like me who stays in hotels often and relies on decent room service every day, and when I was leaving, I asked the attendant standing outside to call a taxi, and he called someone then hung up and told me "my friend isn't working today" and walked away. I ended up walking back into the hotel and asked the guy behind the desk to call a taxi, but it was weird that someone on your staff literally called a friend to give me a ride to the airport.
I've enjoyed staying at other locations of the Marriott, but this was my last time staying at this one.

A nice convenient eatery located at the Marriott. Service and selection are good. The food options met expectations and reasonably priced for a hotel eatery. Nice selection of drinks and cocktails.
