The Nexo Knights are a team of young warriors with advanced technology. Newly graduated from the Knights' Academy, they are sworn to protect Knighton from all that is evil or harms the realm, especially the arch-necromancer Monstrox.

They operate from their "rolling castle" base, the Fortrex. They also use special Nexo Powers to defeat their enemies.

Age

The Nexo Knights (and Jestro by association) are in their late teens to early twenties, while Ava and Robin are 11-12 years old. Merlok is over five hundred years old. At least a year passed in between the battle of Merlok and the capture of the Queen, meaning by "Weekend at Halbert's," Ava and Robin are at least in their early teens.

Trivia

• The idea for the Nexo Knights was based off the cast of Friends, in that the team is dysfunctional and each member has their own distinct personality.
• Concept names included the "Knights of Knighton," "Nexus Knights," "Future Knights," and "Exo Knights."
• Their helmets resemble the animals on their crests.
• Axl is the only Nexo Knights member to be the first knight in his family.
  • Clay's father was a knight.
  • Macy's ancestor was in the Order of the Eight, and both her parents studied at the Knights' Academy.
  • At least one member of Aaron's family was in the Order of the Eight.
  • Lance's ancestor was in the Order of the Eight, and members of his family had attended the Knights' Academy long before him.
