Where to find the crashed helicopter in Gray Zone Warfare
Handshake – one of the Gray Zone Warfare vendors – will have us search for a helicopter that crashed close to the gas station. This task is called Little Bird Down and it is the second task he will assign to you after you finish First Recon, his starting task. Contrary to his first task, the approximate map square location will not be given. However, since we have already visited the gas station while doing recon work, then this will not be an issue.
Helicopter location
Just as Handshake told us, you can find the crashed helicopter close to the Gas Station on one corner of the forest closest to the city. Be mindful that each exact location will vary depending on which Gray Zone Warfare Faction you choose when first booting up the game. However, each of the Faction’s map layouts is very similar, if not the same. To that end, here are the coordinates you need to travel to find the helicopter, depending on your Faction:

Crew location
Once you arrive at the site, you will find out that the pilot is dead, but the rest of the crew is missing. You will have to find them, and while their location isn’t revealed, they are pretty nearby. Two militia soldiers are guarding a house just close to the crash site. Get rid of them by any means necessary and head inside the house. If you are wondering the house’s exact location for your Faction, look at the table below:

Unfortunately, you will find that all the crew is dead inside. They took refuge in the building but then succumbed to their wounds or were killed by the local militia, which explains the presence of guards, planning to take out any playing looking for the crew.
This will complete all the Little Bird Down task objectives and you will be cleared to return to base, which will be easier now that you have unlocked Landing Zone 3 which is close to the crash site and will allow you to fast travel to your Main Base. By completing Little Bird Down, you will receive the following rewards:
- M4A1 weapon.
- 2,700 USD.
- 400x Experience.
- 100x Handshake Reputation.
