The distance between the two cities varies depending on the specific locations within each city, but typically, the distance from downtown Scottsdale to downtown Phoenix is approximately 10 to 15 miles, which could be about a 20- —to 30-minute drive, depending on traffic conditions. One unique attraction in Scottsdale is the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park. It is a 30-acre park where you can catch a ride on the Paradise & Pacific Railroad. Visitors can also visit the museum and shops, ride the 1950 Allan Herschell carousel, and enjoy the park. Admission is free but there is a minimal cost to ride the train.
