The amplifiers are designed to provide efficient and accurate audio signal reproduction, promising a rich and immersive listening experience. These receivers are also equipped with isolated circuit boards and selectable moving magnet (MM) and moving coil (MC) phono inputs, catering to vinyl enthusiasts by preserving the integrity of phono signals for enhanced audio clarity.

The Onkyo TX-8470 and Integra DTM-7.4 support a wide array of streaming services, including Spotify, Amazon Music HD, Tidal, Deezer, TuneIn Radio, and Pandora. One of the main features of these new receivers is their extensive digital connectivity options. Both the TX-8470 and DTM-7.4 are equipped with an AKM Premium 32-bit/768-kHz digital-to-analog converter (DAC), supporting high-resolution audio streaming. They also feature a custom transformer and audio-grade low-impedance capacitors, contributing to their impressive sound performance.

The front panels of both models are designed with a large volume control and dials for selecting inputs and adjusting bass, treble, and balance. The receivers offer a comprehensive selection of connections, including four HDMI inputs and one HDMI output, all ARC-enabled and supporting 8K up to 40 Gbps.

Additional connections include one coaxial and two optical digital inputs, two USB inputs, three analog RCA inputs, gold-plated speaker terminals, a subwoofer output, and a Zone 2 pre-out.
