Frysker: Help with writing in Frisian

Frysker.nl is a site with tools for everyone who wants to write Frisian, such as a translator, spelling checker and dictionaries. The first 30,000 words of the new Dutch-Frisian dictionary are also on Frysker.

Mercator European Research Centre on Multilingualism and Language Learning is hosted by the Fryske Akademy, and researches multilingual education and language learning in Europe.

Historical Geographical Information System

In the oldest land register (1832), 3 million parcels of land have been precisely mapped on HisGIS.nl. This is linked to map layers - from aerial photos to early modern surveyor's recordings - that can be combined with each other.

Members and donors of the Fryske Akademy

As a scientific institute, the Fryske Akademy has had members since its establishment. Akademy members are individuals from all over the world, who deserve this distinction on the basis of merits in the field of science, merits for Frisian culture, or a great long-term enthusiasm for science or Frisian culture in general. The Fryske Akademy has a large support base of donors who are very keen to support its work. All of them are interested in the Frisian language, culture and science. The Fryske Akademy has ANBI status. This allows donors to deduct donations from income and corporation tax. Read more about being a donor.
