Men's Lightweights Claim Eastern Sprints Title for the First Time Since 2013
WORCESTER, Mass. –– Harvard men's lightweight rowing won the 2024 Eastern Sprints Lightweight Championship in the varsity eight on Sunday, May 19. The Crimson earned its first Eastern Sprints championship win since 2013. With about a boat length to spare, Harvard came out victorious. No. 1 Harvard stays undefeated heading into IRA Championships (May 31-June 2). 

The varsity eight consisted of 1V Anya Cheng (Cox), James Stevenson (Stroke), Ben Lundie, Brahm Erdmann, Zarret Mils, Preston Darling, Ryan McCarthy, Alex Forbes, and Kyle Sutherland. McCarthy was the only senior in the boat.
