A 42-minute making-of documentary, "Inside 'Inside Llewyn Davis,'" produced and directed by David Prior. A number of cast and key crew people are interviewed, but, not surprisingly, the Coens, music supervisor T-Bone Burnett, and lead Oscar Isaac dominate the proceedings.

Inside Llewyn Davis means the world to me. It is about depression and not moving forward in life. Nevertheless the movie is so funny and enjoyable to watch. The Coen brothers and Oscar Isaac created art in its highest form.
This Making Of is really great in exploring the perspective of the folks music culture.
The problem: Many things are missing. Some important actors like Justin Timberlake and Carey Mulligan are not getting enough time to share their insights.
But man… I discovered the movie last year and saw it then seven times. After this I still wanna jump into the world of Llewyn to hear him play folk songs.

This is probably the only physical media feature I discovered that has its own page on Letterboxd. But maybe I just don’t pay much attention to check features here. Unless, of course, it’s to complete Carey Mulligan’s filmography.
“Inside ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’” is an engrossing peek at the Coen Brothers’ creative process for the film. A nice but not an entirely essential supplementary, I must say, it rather feels short. Its focus wavers from one segment of the filming process to another. And I would’ve probably enjoyed it better if Mulligan's interviewed more about her character and not who her character is in relation to Isaac’s character. Anyway, her dimples made appearances so I’m mostly satisfied. Odd to watch her…
Rewatching all the Criterion extras this weekend, saw them once before in autumn 2016 right before writing my folkiest album and these extras were hugely inspiring as a lead-up to that.
Just wanna note a couple things:
1) The only feature I never tapped into the first time around was the commentary track, because it includes one of my least favorite human beings on this earth - professional asshole and self-appointed ~DeAn oF RocK cRitiCs~ robert christgau, a creature I will someday celebrate the death of the way I’d only do for killer cops and mitch mcconnell. i love this movie so much and oscar isaac as llewyn davis was perfect casting !!!!!!
It's kinda your standard making-of film, but it's worth it to see so many great minds (T Bone, Joel & Ethan, Justin, Bruno, etc) working on one project.
Very surface level and not that insightful. There's just not much inside Inside 'Inside Llewyn Davis'
