​Great Barn Microbrewery To Open At Puck Live In Doylestown Borough

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Great Barn Taphouse is coming to Doylestown Borough.

After closing its Warrington location at the Shops at Valley Square in November, the Taphouse announced on Facebook that it will be opening at Puck Live at 1 Printers Alley.

“After the recent and unexpected Warrington location closure your favorite local farm microbrewery was presented with an amazing opportunity to continue on rocking,” they wrote on Facebook. “Say hello to the new kids in town! The most amazing, iconic Doylestown venue Puck Live is now our new home and will be your new favorite spot to rock!”

The new Puck Live by Great Barn will hold its soft opening on Friday night, March 1.

Puck Live by Great Barn Doylestown will open with a fully operational and complete basement bar serving Great Barn farm-grown brews plus other Pennsylvania made beverages wines and spirits.

Hours will be: Wednesday, 6 to 10 p.m.; Thursday, 6 to 11 p.m.; Thursday, Open Mic, 7 to 10 p.m.; Friday, 5 p.m. to 12 a.m.; Saturday, 3 p.m. to 12 a.m.; and Sunday, 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The second phase of the opening will include the renovations of the kitchen with a food menu expected to launch in mid-April. And the final phase will include the opening of the patio once the weather gets nicer.

“Join us at our new location as we bring studio quality live music back to Doylestown,” Great Barn wrote on Facebook.

Great Barn’s Warrington location had built a reputation for hosting quality live band performances on its 22 by 14 foot stage, a tradition it will now carry over to its new Doylestown venue which is no stranger to live events.

The Great Barn also operates a Taphouse on Mechanic Street in New Hope Borough and has manufacturing operations in Kintnersville.

Great Barn, a “farm to glass” brewery, takes the beer making process to new heights of sustainability and environmental responsibility by growing its own barley, according to its website.

“We promote the bond between nature, farming, and brewing by creating a distinctive beer that is truly a product of the soil,” according to the brewery. “Our beers are brewed with crystal clear fresh water from our own private well. We grow our own barley, which is malted locally, and support other farmers by sourcing specialty ingredients such as hops, fruits and honey.”
