PERMIAN BASIN (KMID/KPEJ) – Here are some of the events coming up this week across the Basin for the week of May 19th.

Sunday, May 19th

  • The “Second Annual Space Nation Day at The Petroleum Museum” will be starting at 2pm, providing a free “out-of-this-world experience” with former NASA Astronaut Michael Good. You can learn more about the event here.
  • The West Texas Symphony Chamber Choral will be presenting its spring recital, “Resonating Fatih: Choral Prayers Across Diverse Divinity,” starting at 3pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Odessa. Tuesday, May 21st

  • Permian Basin Gives will be holding its annual fundraising event, aimed at “creating a meaningful impact through nonprofits that serve our communities. The organization said 115 nonprofits are participating in this year’s daylong event. You can learn more here.

Wednesday, May 22nd

  • The Odessa College Pecos Center will be hosting a job fair from 1:30pm to 5pm at 1000 South Eddy Street. For more information you can visit the event page here or call 432-445-9664.

Friday, May 24th

  • The Reeves County Rec Center will be hosting its “End of School Bash” from 11am to 1pm, followed by an exhibition water polo match for community members. Tickets are $2 for attendees 18 and under. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. You can learn more here.

  • The Midland Downtown Famers Market will be taking place from 8am to noon at 404 N Colorado Street. A variety of vendors will be there selling a lot of different products. You can learn more here.
