Leavenworth Senior High School Reviews
Rating 3.75 out of 5 262 reviews
Leavenworth High School has excellent extracurricular opportunities. A large portion of the student body is engaged is many different clubs, sports, and other activities. Every student is able to find friends, fun, and new skills. The school staff is very supportive of the various activities, always finding space and time for another club to meet, or sport to compete.
This school also has a wonderful teaching staff. Teachers genuinely care about their students and their parents. They work hard to ensure a good education and to make connections with their students.
What Leavenworth lacks is resources and good administration. While the teachers, coaches, and many other school staff members are very committed, helpful, and proficient, the administrators of the school seem to struggle with implementing fair policies and ensuring rules are followed. Aside from administration issues, the school also suffers from a lack of resources to use to supplement the education of students.

My experience at Leavenworth High School has been pretty good overall. I have experienced good and bad at my high school. The sports I have been involved in have been part of the good and the bad experiences. I would like to see the coaching system at my high school change because I have experienced a lot of negativity with my coaches and lots of favoritism towards certain players. Though I have had bad experiences with coaches, I did get to experience one season of volleyball with a good coach in my freshman year season. I have also experienced winning medals at tournaments. I believe my school has good culture and I know they are working on trying to have more. The leadership class that my school provides really focuses on building our schools culture. I would like to see more student involvement in my school because in my experience, it seems that less and less students are wanting to get involved each year. Overall I believe my experience at this high school has been decent for me.
Coming into Leavenworth Mid Year was a different way of viewing school I'm from the East Coast so coming to the Mid West was a big change they do school differently and they treat people differently also. Me being use to the Southern Hospitality in the South and coming here where if you don't speak you won't be spoken to but let alone once you speak you learn that people at this school are just like you going through the same struggles and are very likable and kind. This school in less than 5 months has taught me that not everybody has the same upbringing and not everyone has the same view points in life. My Grades have been better at this school than at any other I have been to before its because the Teachers hear you out and they react to things the way you need to hear and or see it they guide you to a way that can best help you see success in the future in Your Future.
