You can request swatches of different materials for free to test them out against your wall color and furniture. Next, you'll measure your windows and submit the size you need, then Curtarra will get to work fulfilling your order.

As with many other stores with a smorgasbord of curtain options, Wayfair has their website down to a science to make it easy to find what you want. In addition to filtering for basic things like price, brand, size, filtration type, and material, you can shop by holiday and special occasion. If you're someone who likes to change out all your decor for Valentine's Day, the 4th of July, or Christmas, Wayfair can supply the curtains to make it happen. You can shop by theme (wildlife, sports, nautical), life stage, room location, top college picks, and more. The options are so extensive that it's nearly overwhelming.

We noticed that for any given curtain style, you usually have at least a few color choices and a few different sizes. Wayfair is really clear about which items are low in stock and exactly how many are left. They also show what items are out of stock, but have an email list you can get on in case it comes back and you want to be alerted. There are multiple pictures of each product with detailed product descriptions about how they hang, how well they filter light, if they have any noise canceling effects, the weight, dimension, and all other specifications. There shouldn't be any surprises about your curtains when they arrive in the mail.

Besides having an insane number of product options, Wayfair is well-liked because they offer so many great deals and sales. Most things are extremely affordable and marked down, sometimes on top of a holiday sale for 15% - 20% off sitewide. If you are requesting a custom order, it will ship within 7-10 business days of placing the order. Ready-made curtains will be in the mail 1-3 business days from the date of purchase and usually delivered within 3-7 days.

Return policy varies based on product

If you change your mind about your curtains or find an error in the way they were made, you'll be able to get at least a partial refund. If you reach out to Half Price Drapes and they agree that there was a defect in workmanship, they'll replace your curtains at no cost as long as it's within 30 days. For ready-made items, you can return them within 30 days for a refund, less a 10% handling fee after you request an RMA. Lastly, if you purchased custom curtains from Half Price Drapes, you can return them within 30 days, but understandably, you'll only receive 40% of the purchase price back.

Good reviews overall

Half Price Drapes shows that they have over 36,000 5-star reviews on their website, but we are skeptical of this. You can actually read only 9 reviews total that were placed within the last few days. Where the real reviews are is on their individual products, so this is the best indicator of quality. The company has an "A+" rating from the Better Business Bureau, but some of their customer reviews elsewhere are just "meh" . Overall people are happy with their purchases, but some people have had a hard time making returns or dealing with customer service.

Solid option

We don't see any reason not to order from Half Price Drapes, but they aren't rated quite as high as some other companies in our review simply because they have competitors with slightly better feedback overall. Half Price Drapes has a good selection, easy buying process, and decent pricing, so they've earned a solid rating from us.

Kohl's has well over 1,100 retail stores throughout the United States and best of all, an online store with all their products at your fingertips. If you've visited one of their stores, it seems that clothing is their bread and butter, but they have a huge assortment of beauty products and home goods as well. The company began in 1927 when a Polish immigrant opened a corner grocery store in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, so it's impressive that they've grown to be the retail giant that they are today.

Brands from A-Z

Unlike many of the other companies in our review, Kohl's doesn't have their own curtains made in-house. They're a distributor that sells a host of brands like Williams Sonoma, Martha Stewart, Harper Lane, Scott Living, Tommy Bahama, Urban Loft, and many others. Mixed into the listings of curtains you'll also find some shades and blinds. There are over 3,800 products, so luckily Kohl's lets you sort their products by length, width, light filtration, color, trend, pattern, brand, and price.

"Mishmash" describes the selection

The selection of curtains at Kohl's feels random and less straightforward than at some of our highest-rated curtain stores. There's nothing wrong with their selection and many of them have great reviews, but the assortment is a bit of a mishmash and it might take longer to find something that you like the look of and that also fits the window you're dressing.

Lots of design variety

Many of the curtain styles come in a variety of colors, so if you're happy with the size and brand of a curtain design you find, you'll probably have a few choices as far as the color too. Some are plain, neutral colors, while others are bright with wild patterns. Each product is listed with all of its features, so you should have plenty of information about the differences between products if you review all the fine print.

Generous return policy

Kohl's blows many of their competitors out of the water with their 180-day return policy. Most products can be returned within this timeframe with or without a receipt. This should give you more than enough time to decide if your curtains are keepers or not.

Bed Bath & Beyond is a widely recognized name in the arena of home goods. Their hundreds of stores have dotted the country for years. That is, until they filed for bankruptcy in April of 2023 and liquidated all of their stores.

They've since been acquired by Overstock (now Beyond, Inc.) and they are focusing on rebranding and growing after a rocky few years. Despite the somewhat messy-sounding transitions going on in the background, Bed Bath & Beyond has a huge selection of furniture, rugs, bedding, lighting, home improvement, and so much more. Their huge selection of curtains is just a small taste of what this store has to offer.

Thousands of options

There are over 6,500 options for curtains at Bed Bath & Beyond. So if you have an idea in mind of what material and design you want, you'll save yourself a lot of time here. We did notice that over 2,800 curtain designs were out of stock though, so even though you can see over 6,500 styles, you can't necessarily purchase them all right away. You can also sort the selection of curtains by customer ratings, brand, price, length, filtration, color, material, style, fabric care, and many other specific details.

All curtains on sale

Every single set of curtains from Bed Bath & Beyond is marked as being on sale. They often mark down their products, so it isn't necessarily a huge deal or a temporary thing you need to jump on. But rather it's a way for them to advertise their pricing and appear cheaper than their competitors. There are a lot of varying details when it comes to buying curtains, but for what it's worth, their lowest marked curtains available were $10 and their most expensive ones were $421.

Price drop alerts

Bad customer reviews

Bed Bath & Beyond has been around since 1971. They've established themselves as a legitimate, large-scale retailer. However, they've hit some bumps in the road over the years, and they've paid the price in customer satisfaction. Even though the Better Business Bureau gives them an "A+" rating, customers have a lot of complaints regarding customer service, shipping promptness, and order errors.
