KINDERHOOK, N.Y. (NEWS10) — New York State Police responded to a serious crash on State Route 9, north of Maple Lane South in Kinderhook Tuesday around 6:10 a.m. Seven people were hospitalized in the crash.

According to State Police, an investigation found a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado was driving northbound when a 2004 Honda Accord left a parking lot, made a left-hand turn, and crashed into the Silverado. The driver of the Accord was extracted from the car and taken to Albany Medical Center with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say there were five passengers in the Accord, all of them taken to Albany Medical Center via Ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Silverado was also taken to Columbia Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

This crash is still under investigation. After being closed for some time, the roadway was open just before 10:10 a.m.
