Marvel Studios’ latest Jubilee tease may be setting up big things for the X-Men ‘97 season finale. Following the release of the first part of the X-Men ‘97 three-part finale, “Tolerance Is Extinction,” the Marvel Studios Twitter account posted a cryptic image of Jubilee’s pink cellphone and a phone number. Although it seems like just another teaser image at first glance, there is an X-Men Easter Egg in Marvel’s cryptic post.

Besides the various objects in the image that would clearly fit into Jubilee’s room, a noticeable detail is the burnt spots on the edge of the phone. Considering the fight that the X-Men just went through against Bastion’s Prime Sentinel army in X-Men ‘97 episode 8, the phone reflects the wear and tear of their battle. However, undoubtedly the coolest detail to come out of the cryptic teaser is the phone number itself, as it is an actual working number.

What Happens When You Call Jubilee's Phone Number From Marvel's Post

When fans dial Jubilee’s phone number, 914-361-5397, they can expect to hear a pre-recorded voice message from the hero herself. Jubilee greets the caller before inviting them to the X-Mansion to hang out in May. Not much more is explained as Jubilee rushes to leave for presumably another mission. Marvel Studios left no other context in their actual post, so the meaning of Jubilee’s message is truly up for interpretation.

Hey! It's Jubilee. I'm so stoked you got my number. Guess what? This May, we're welcoming mutants like you to the X-Mansion. For real! Come hang out and see where the X-Men crash after fighting major baddies. Sounds rad, huh? So keep your pagers on for the 411. Gotta jet, the world doesn't save itself, y'know?

Marvel Studios has used phone numbers as promotional content before with She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, and the playful format works just the same here to excite fans. Though Marvel’s cryptic post didn’t explicitly encourage fans to call, fans quickly discovered that it is a working number. Having a number that fans can actually call themselves and hear Marvel heroes speaking to them is a great way for viewers to feel personally part of the universe. With Jubilee actively asking callers to come to the X-Mansion, it suggests a level of interactivity is being set up.

Marvel's Jubilee Tease Revealed As IRL X-Mansion Airbnb

Airbnb has unveiled an X-Men themed house in Westchester County, NY (specifically New Castle, NY), which users can book to stay in this summer. The interior of the house has been painted to look like the 2D Xavier Institute for Higher Learning from X-Men '97. Rooms in the house have been made to look like Beast's lab, the War Room where Cerebro is located and the Danger Room where the X-Men hone their skills.

The house is big enough for eight guests, with four bedrooms, five beds and 2.5 bathrooms. Reservations to stay at the X-Mansion are currently open, but close at 11:59 PM PT on May 13.

Though several fans are suggesting that this could be a teaser for an upcoming Jubilee solo show or an MCU tie-in, it is likely related to X-Men ‘97 as the series has consistently been posting trailers and teasers for the series throughout its run. Jubilee asks the caller to visit the X-Mansion in May, so it syncs up with the release schedule for the X-Men ‘97 finale. This could mean in-person screenings of the series finale, some sort of pop-up celebrating the end of the season, or even a kind of community forum where fans can discuss their thoughts.

It’s up for debate what Marvel Studios’ latest cryptic post is about, but the interactivity will be a great way to get fans discussing. Having viewers call Jubilee’s number and get to hear an actual message from her is a great Easter Egg, and there’s even the bonus of the hero inviting fans to the X-Mansion in May. Whatever implications Jubilee’s message may have, it lines up perfectly with X-Men ‘97’s big season finale and is sure to draw attention to the three-part event.
