  • Look into my eyes
    You will see
    What you mean to me
    Search your heart
    Search your soul
And when you find me there
    You'll search no more

    Don't tell me
    It's not worth tryin' for
    You can't tell me
    It's not worth dyin' for
    You know it's true
    Everything I do
    I do it for you

    Look into your heart
    You will find
    There's nothin' there to hide
    Take me as I am
    Take my life
    I would give it all
    I would sacrifice

    Don't tell me
    It's not worth fightin' for
    I can't help it
    There's nothin' I want more
    You know it's true
    Everything I do
I do it for you, oh yeah

    There's no love
    Like your love
    And no other
    Could give more love
    There's nowhere
    Unless you're there
    All the time
    All the way, yeah

    Look into your heart, babe
    Yeah
    Oh yeah

    Oh, you can't tell me
    It's not worth tryin' for
    I can't help it
    There's nothin' I want more
Yeah, I would fight for you
    I'd lie for you
    Walk the wire for you
    Yeah, I'd die for you

    You know it's true
    Everything I do
    Oh
    I do it for you

    Everything I do, darling
    And we'll see it through
    Oh, we'll see it through
    Oh yeah
    Yeah
    Search your heart
    Search your soul
You can't tell me it ain't worth dying for
    Oh yeah
    I'll be there, yeah, oh
I'll walk the wire for you, yeah
    I will die for you
    Oh yeah
    All the time
I'm going all the way, all the way, yeah
Take me by the hand, oh

  • Larry from Coral Springs, FlLove this song
  • Barry from Sauquoit, NyWas nominated for Best Song at the 1991 Academy Awards {Lost to "Beauty and the Beast" from the movie of the same name}!!!
  • Rubymae Scribner from Auburn, MeI have not been able to get this song out of my head for a weak , I love it so much
  • Rubymae Scribner from Auburn, MeI love this song , this is my parents song. I danced to this song when I won prom princess with my prince. and I have not been able to get it out of my head
  • Joel from Columbia, MdHeard this song when I was in college. I played it for my future wife.
  • Lennon from Harare, Zimbabwethis here ladies and gentleman what we have is a great song period. half the times people go out of their way to try and find complex lyrics all the name of lyrical prowess but here is a straight forward simple sing along song that is good.
  • Marine from Stanton, American Samoathis son is very good very impressive for #1 IN 30 COUNTRIES
  • Sara from Silver Spring, MdOriginally Kate Bush was to sing the song before Bryan Adams did. Another early choice was Peter Cetera with Julia Fordham
  • Liquid Len from Ottawa, CanadaI don't think that most love songs are sappy, but ultimately that's a matter of taste. I just find it's maudlin without being really emotional. The lyrics are not particularly moving to me, just cliches. And even that would be ok except the music is totally humdrum too. I like 'Heaven' (and most of his other ballads) infinitely more than this song.
  • Sarah from Madison, WiI love this song. Bryan Adams has a one of a kind voice and I will love anything he sings. My favorite song by him is "Heaven". By the way "Liquid Len", most love songs are sappy.
  • Jeff from Liverpool, Englandthe melody to this monster hit was actually based on a aural impression of harpsichord and lute sounds recorded by michael kamen in the 1960's which he had sent to bryan adams so he could write lyrics to,which he did with mutt lange.
  • Stacey from Edinburgh, ScotlandI love this song so much, Also love Bryan Adams.
You are a brilliant singer and I love all your songs xxx
  • Gena from Prestonsburg, KyThis song brings back too many painful memories for me....and I just cannot bring myself to like it.
  • Tom from Putnam Valley, NyI'd like to know where that "age 10" came from, too. I don't think that it's true, though. I still love this song; glad to know there are others still out there! It was written in a short amount of time; the producers of the movie HATED the song; I think it should have won Best Song 1991, but it was beaten out by Natalie & Nat King Cole's "Unforgettable."
  • Polly from London, EnglandYou are head over heels in love. Love this song and most of Bryan Adams hits. "If you love someone"--is one of my treasured songs.
  • Melanie from Philadelphia, PaI absolutely love this song. My boyfriend surprised me and picked this song to dedicate to me in my last semester at college during his fraternity formal. So romantic!
  • Brian from Meriden, CtEven if it was written at age 10 the recording was not built on the strength of its songwriting. It was a great record because they really nailed it in the studio with Mutt. They got it just right. From vocal to piano to guitar solo. It was definately a praiseworthy record but if you think about the composition it was just another sappy love song. Great records can come out of limited material.
  • Ana from Lokev, Europeso simple, but it's great! i think this song is one of the most listened love songs by lovers. i like when bryan did it with celine dion in live performance.
  • Anita from Belgrade, SerbiaThis is definetelly my favourite song!I think that this song is the best love song ever written;the amazing song.Every word is so special.I would like if someone sing me that song oneday, maybe Bryan...Who knows...
People, you just must love that song!!!
  • Jack from Nottingham, EnglandAdams and Lange did probaly look at the script first cause there are lines in the film that go with the song e.g.
Robin - Was she worth it
    Barberian - Worth Dying For
  • Bunny from Oz, AustraliaForgot to say...I believe that they read the script and then wrote the song.
  • Bunny from Oz, AustraliaHe and Mutt Lange wrote it and apparently in about 45 mins. I think they were both surprised it was a hit. Bryan was never happy with the video clip, very disappointed. The "film people" didn't like it and hence it only plays in the credits.

  • Vaughn from New York, NyThis song was adopted by david duke (the ex-clans man) when he was running for Govenor of Louisana and the 90's ..Happily Bryan Adams made him stop using this song at his rallies.
  • Minh Nhat from Ha Noi, OtherBryan adam wasn't my most fovourite artist but the song "everything i do " of him makes me sympathy so much . And this is my most favourite song!i mostly like this man. Thank B.A so so so so much !
  • Nicola from London, EnglandThis song is my personal favourite and is very romantic.
  • Artel from Buffalo, Nyfor any one that doesnt already know, this song was covered by new found glory.
