I really enjoyed going to California State University- Fresno. It was worth commuting to school. The professors were great, very helpful.
It was hard my first semester because I couldn't get into the community and what was expected of me. One of my professors was very strict and I ended up failing a class but the second was good I kind of know whats expected of me and how much I need to study to get a better grade. My experience at California State University Fresno has been positive for the most part.
Fresno State was definitely a more affordable option for school. I enjoyed my time there and think it was the best option for me at the time.
I like Fresno State because it's affordable. However, there's always some kind of construction on campus that blocks your route to class, and the food is kind of hit or miss. Overall, it's a decent school with some good teachers and some bad.
Fresno state has a very connected and diverse community. There is clubs and student organizations for everyone.
Overall it was a good experience at Fresno state however I wasted a lot of time because the degree I'm pursuing was not accredited at this school so I had to transfer
I loved it! The students were interactive with each other, there was some flexibility on being able to take night and online classes. I enjoyed it working as a full time employee. The only downside was limited parking and all the construction.
Personally, I think Fresno State is good if you are a local looking to get through college with little to no debt. Lots of campus life and greek life. Academics are okay. A con is it can be difficult to get the classes you need at the times you want. Online classes are sparsely offered and usually fill up fast. Lots of food on campus and at campus point. You also get a free FAX bus pass with your student ID card. Professors range from mediocre to great. They give a lot of financial aid and parking isn't too expensive which is great! Fresno can get hot and boring though.
My experience at CSUF overall is a 7/10. The campus life is very good. There are a diverse amount of people there. Food court is pretty substantial. The library however is my favorite building. There are different layers to the library and I find myself to be on task when I lock myself in a room to study. Professors are really nice from my experience but I also use the website “RateMyProfessor” to get student opinions who have previously taken their course. I like college at CSUF. I think I should involve myself in more extracurricular activities and maybe my rating would be a bit higher!
Fresno State was an affordable college to receive a degree from, but the overall college experience was mediocre. Many professors have made it obvious they do not care much about students once they are tenured. Diverse campus, good food, nice library, mediocre parties, 7.5/10 college experience.
Fresno State has been pretty alright so far with my experiences. Though I am a full time student, I live at home and a chunk of my classes are also online so I’m not on the campus for too much time. Though the time I have spent there is overall enjoyable and the university has plenty of unique events and people to interact with.
It was good to have various events at the housing center and school. Thanks to this, I was able to enjoy many things and communicate with many people. However, the quality of the dormitory seems to be bad. I hope college improve the quality of the dormitory and pay attention to cleanliness. The washing machine and dryer are not clean, so it's dirty even if I wash my clothes. Also, there was no laundry room in the dormitory where I live, so I had to bring clothes to another dormitory to do laundry.
I feel like so far my experience here at CSU-Fresno has been amazing. The staff, the resources, the will and determination of the faculty trying to help students succeed is awesome.
As a high school student taking Fresno state classes, I felt that the professors were very accommodating and treated me as a true college student.
The phrase "it is what you make it!" definitely runs true for the college experience. I enjoy the atmosphere that Fresno State presents during big events. The OCSL program, ASI, and other student event programs do an amazing job of offering opportunities for students to get involved in Fresno State events and explore different things on campus. Fresno State is especially active on social media, which is a great tool to connect to students who are not on campus often.
I loved my education at Fresno State. My son is a freshman this year. My husband graduated from Fresno State. I would love for them to upgrade their buildings.
California State University, Fresno is rooted in the Central Valley; where being apart of the community is important. Everyone supports one another in their individual dreams and we all strive together to make what we learn and put it into practice far from what our degrees inscribe. We are and will always be apart of the Fresno State family. You'll be glad to join the family!
