This is the second time me and my boyfriend went to Temptation Cancun Resort, and we had a wonderful experience both times! Speaking as a trained chef, the food was overall really good, especially the seafood restaurant, Sea Flirt, and the Japanese restaurant, Sutra. We ate breakfast at the buffet every day and there was a ton of selection, even allowing you to eat healthy if you wish. Often they have two breakfast buffets set up, one American and one International. Both were delicious! The service at the restaurants was always unreal – they took care of us and were extremely helpful. Big shoutout to the play makers who made our vacation even more memorable! Sarp, Natasha, Nancy, Ciara, Jordyn, Axel, Marco, Joaquin, JJ, and Miguel. They’re always around organizing events, socializing, participating in games, etc. The resort is awesome for keeping things lively with poolside competitions and games. Keeps people entertained and interacting. Also the theme night parties at Bash are so much fun! You don’t need to dress up to attend, but I highly recommend participating in the theme nights! Before the real party gets going each night, they have a live performance which was incredible and different each night. All employees were really friendly, accommodating, and helpful. We did not have one bad experience with a staff member. If you’re open minded and want to have a wild, fun, incredible, memorable vacation, Temptation is definitely the place to go. Everybody we talked to was friendly and respectful. We aren’t swingers, but some people that go to Temptation are. You definitely don’t need to be part of that lifestyle to have a good time. The resort was also sparkly clean and the gym had everything to get a good workout in. Our ONLY complaint our whole vacation was that the housekeepers didn’t always stock our room properly with enough shower/face/hand towels. We could’ve easily called for more towels but it wasn’t a big deal at all. This year they have moved a lot of amenities to those who pay for “premium”. Wasn’t a big deal but it was nicer when there were more pool chairs and breakfast options for those that did not pay for premium. Overall 5/5 though and we will be back!!!

Just returned from another awesome visit to Temptations.
This was our third time there in as many years which is a testament to the resort itself.
That being said, we were a bit disappointed in some of the changes since our previous visit one year ago.
On previous visits one of our favourite activities was to eat breakfast on the outdoor patio at Sea Flirt. However, breakfast at Sea Flirt is now Premier members only (aka timeshare owners).
Amores is also designated Premier members only for breakfast.
There was no signage to indicate this change; we only found out once we were already seated and had to leave the restaurant. Management may wish to make a note of this and spare other guests the embarrassment of being asked to leave.
Another change was there were more chairs around the pool designated Premier members only and a previously Premier members only area was changed for those guests with rooms in the Bash Tower.
These weren’t huge issues for us as we generally didn’t sit poolside opting instead to ‘dive right into’ and be part of the sexy pool activities!
There was one day when the beach was sectioned off for a Premier members only beach party but that was only for a few hours and I honestly don’t even know how many attended.
So while the resort is definitely catering more to Premier members, the overall atmosphere hasn’t much changed.
The Playmakers and DJ keep things exciting by the sexy pool with games, contests and water sports.
We stayed again in a trendy gardenview room. Our room had a king size bed, not overly huge but who stays in their room other than to sleep? The room was cleaned daily with a fresh stock of toiletries left. The fridge was kept full with water, pop and beer.
No complaints about the food, it’s consistently good with lots of different options.
Highly recommend reservations at She and at the teppanyaki grill at Sutra. Nahun was our chef the night we were there. What an amazing talent! Thank you Nahun!
Staff is always friendly, smiling and ready to help out. My husband loves the Caffeine bar (coffee shop) and the baristas who work there are always smiling!
Time will tell if we decide to go four years in a row. We do love the atmosphere at Temptations so for another year, thank you Temptations! We loved our time at your playground.

The Pros:This was our first time at temptations and it won't be our last. The resort is a lot of fun. The "sexy" pool games are hilarious.Do your research on this resort before going so you are not shocked. It was hard finding a chair by the pool unless you "saved" one by 6:30 am. We stayed in the tower so we had access to the roof pool and hot tubs - they were great. The restaurants were all good. The "SHE" is a must experience. We did the Flame restaurant our last night and that was fabulous. The small restaurant on the roof of the Tower was great for lunch. The nightly entertainment parties were awesome. I can't say enough about the staff from the bartenders, wait people ( girls and guys ), restaurant servers, pool attendants, everyone were wonderful, friendly and professional. The rooms are very unique and comfortable. The Cons: Check-in for us was very long. It took about 4 hours for our room to be ready - we arrived about 2:30 but didn't get into our room till after 6 ( very disappointing ) . The room we were assigned was on the 5 floor , which was nice being that high but the ice machine was right outside our door and it dropped ice every hour all night ( paper thin walls ) . Our door was very difficult to close so when I would leave early in the morning ( to save a chair ) I had to slam the door. They do have decent alcohol but the "good" stuff is for the "Premium" club members. If you are planning on doing any excursions use the resorts' ( located where you get the pool towels. We used Amstar, recommended by our travel company, and regretted every minute of it. Everything else was fine. We are now trying to figure out when we can go back.

We have been here 8 times since 2011. Alcohol selection is poor and keeps getting worse with each trip. We always loved the food on our previous trips and this time the food was terrible. 1st time service wasn't amazing (usually is). We aren't picky on music but DJ was bad and can't read a crowd and for some reason the DJ and the music was better on the weekends. Sexy pool water is too deep. The sexy pool before the renovation was a lot better. Also security is allowing too many people have phones at the sexy pool and they take pictures all the time. Night foam party was amazing. I guess they only do this every other weekend but it was a blast. They should do it every week. Bash was fun but they need more bartenders and servers. We had to wait too long for drinks at times. The people that come to this hotel is what makes this hotel great but its sad to see that the hotel us getting worse and worse. They also did a poor job on cleaning and disinfecting. Going there during Covid was a concern and you would think they would do extra cleaning but they really didn't. We would order shots at the pool bar and we would get dirty cups so we can tell that they weren't cleaning the cups good. Also at the buffet they weren't cleaning the tables between customers.

I have been to many adult only places in my time, but there really has not been any with this type of atmosphere. It was raining but rather everyone going inside, they carried on and had a foam party. (I would have pictures and videos but they are not keen on people taking them around the pool area (people are a bit precious about their privacy ), so the party never stops. The entertainment staff are great but a big extra big up goes too Axel and Robyn, who not only do their work jobs, but also go around to the guests and actively engage with them and enjoy getting to know the guests, where they are from, if they have been before and trying to help them interact more if they are new. This place for lots of new people is really like landing in a hurricane and takes time to become acclimated to the energy of this place.
The GM is a guy called Patric, who is not one of these managers who stays up in his ivory tower (office) and just manages from there. He walks around the pool, and the club bar area at nights joining in the fun, which allows anyone to come talk to him and offer feedback both positive and negative, which is something I personally did on both accounts. In his opinion there is no bad feedback as it is just an opportunity to make things better.
The facilities are great service is reload to none and people are just so friendly, which for a solo traveller is just what you need.
There are theme nights and believe me you will be gobsmacked how many people throw themselves into them 100%. It's an amazing site to behold. JUST TRUST ME
For those who can't just sit by a pool and do nothing there are fun and games from 11 am til about 5 or 6 ranging from quizzes to pool volleyball and other silly games like trying to stand on a surfboard while the entertained staff try to wiggle you off etc. Music is played all through the day too but if you want a quiet time and just chill and read a book, there is also a quiet pool which really is a relaxing place to be.
Food. There are 5 or 6 speciality restaurants for your evening dining, all given strange names but are all really top notch and the buffet, and for buffet food it's as good as any you could have. And the breakfasts you could not wish for more, nothing else needs to be said. Lunch is my only little gripe. If its sunny you really don't wanna send your time inside eating, but they don't offer plastic or paper plates to affable to take it outside. Yes would mean little more rubbish around the pool but have more bins and people will use them at this resort. There are sometimes food on the poolside, small things like chicken wings and chips which can help take the edge off the hunger and help soak up some of the alcohol lol.
The bar staff are amazing as well as the waitresses, but a big smile to Yamy who always smiles and nothing is ever too much trouble and remember your previous orders so you just gotta give her a nod and she just knows.
If you need a pick me up they have a coffee bar too and if you are lucky Lillian will be there to serve you. They also have cakes and sandwiches too to much on and open til 11 pm
As you can tell I am a BIGG fan of this place and will be going back again in the future

So my wife tells me, "I just want an all-inclusive adults-only resort where they actually party at the resort. I don't want to go to the pool and see grandma sleeping reading a book or like only 5 dudes drinking lots of beer and everyone else relaxing.". Well, we found a place that not only parties but they party all day and night (except around 5-7pm when they are getting ready for dinner or eating). Foam parties that last for hours! Loud music and dancing until 2am. People taking shots at the pool. Lots of boobs of course. All the guests were very nice and controlled but having a great time. No college kids getting blackout drunk for their first time.

We were concerned about swingers. We are not swingers. If they were there we didn't know it. It was mainly couples and a few large groups. Everyone was super cool and no one was in your face or obtrusive.

The booze for a normal room was awesome. Great selection. The drinks overall were like 5 stars. Everything I had was great. Food was top notch. We mainly ate at the buffet since it was right next to the pool and amazing. The restaurants were not the best food in the world but still better than most places I get to eat at.

The beach was not super large but they did have a guy cleaning seaweed which most hotels were not bothering with. So for that, I give it a plus since we know seaweed is a problem.

The beds were great and room was very modern. You can hear the music all night if you are facing the pool but we didn't mind because we were up chilling.

Overall I don't think we will ever stay at another mexico all inclusive unless are kid is with us. haha

After a long difficult year we wanted to be in a adult only all inclusive hotel with a party feel so we could escape reality and find ourselves again for 9 days. This was our 1st visit to Temptations cancun and it did not disappoint. If you want to let your hair down and party then this is the No.1 location in Cancun. The music at the main pool starts playing at 10am and does not stop until 2am the day time is filled with crazy adult games around the pool and this hedonistic feel blends into the night time entertainment at the main bar complete with some great evening shows (Dancers) Temptations is 100% all inclusive unless you want a special bottle of wine or spirit, and you pay for Spa treatments. The food is very good, Chef Osveli was amazing, he took great pride in showing us what food delights were on offer and was very happy to accommodate our Vegan diet, he personally cooked for us most days, he is a credit to the hotel but most of all himself. The rooms were clean and well maintained each day, the general hotel service is very good, but i highly advise against the Welcome Tour. This is a total scam as they only want to sell you time share or room nights. When i made it clear we were not interested Diego was very rude and dismissed us completely. His attitude was extremely disappointing and very unprofessional, the whole experience put a stain on what was otherwise a great vacation.

Great (4/5) food, drinks, 5/5 entertainment, and the most friendly non-judgmental guests. They are doing a great job during COVID to keep everything clean/sanitized although given the nature of the resort (meeting friends, going out at night, drinking) there is obviously some inherent risk that you accept by traveling during COVID.

Shout out to the staff who always make our vacations amazing: Fernanda from the premier team, Ivan the butler, Victor at the bar, Cristian/Candelario/David from Rain, Sinue at Sutra, Saby by the pool. Until next time!

To anyone considering going: PLEASE bring money to tip generously. The staff was out of work for months due to Covid with no way to get unemployment benefits. I recommend bringing about $50/day in mostly 1's to tip everyone you come into contact with (bartenders, waiters, cleaning staff, butler, etc). If you can afford to go on vacation, you can afford to tip.

Room tip: I recommend spending the extra to get a room in the tower. The ocean view is gorgeous, and the rooms are much bigger. If you opt for a garden view room, building 17 is one of our favorite areas. "Ocean view" is generally not worth it, as you may end up with a teensy sliver of ocean around the corner from your window.

I wrote of this subject back in September of last year and wanted to assure you that as of our current visit, things have not changed.

Every restaurant you enter you are asked your room number and if you have any food allergies. If you answer yes the Hostess or Host will alert your waiter who will then notify the Chef as your order is submitted. Should there be any questions the Chef will make a personal visit to ensure what you are getting is good for you.

Case in point, my wife is gluten and seafood allergic. That creates interesting problems because the default solution to gluten allergies is seafood. But with a couple of hours per-notice Sutra was able to create a Sweet and Sour Chicken dinner without the oyster sauce special for her. The Sea Flirt seafood restaurant had a steak on the menu so I could get my seafood fix.

But in the Amores Mexican buffet the Chef Noel went over the top. Last night creating special chicken quesadillas. Tonight, because she has been getting frustrated worrying about what she can and can’t eat - you that have allergies know, you have to throw the dice every meal and hope the person fixing the meal really does what they say, and even though they did it last night..... - anyway... Chef Noel said let me make a special meal for you. After reviewing with her every individual ingredient he planned to use, he brought out a filet cooked to perfection over made from scratch mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables. She was in heaven and savored every bite.

Know that every special meal is either prepared in a separate fresh pan, or on a grill that has been cleaned before your food is prepared. They are serious about preventing cross contamination.

So plan your vacation and know you will be spending more time working on your theme night costumes than feeding your allergies.

When we got there check it was good, no complaints. What I did not appreciate was having peaple trying to get me to go to a breakfast to sell me a time share (and charge me 20 dollars. I guess in case we did not show up they would keep it) Salomon the concierge was awesome. When we got to out room it was on the 3rd floor (I did not realize there were no elevators) my husband has a knee problem so I went back to reception and was kindly upgraded with no charge to a room with a Jacuzzi (not that I used it). But it is right around the corner from the quiet pool and near most of the dinner restaurants. Loved the location! Javier in the quiet bar was excellent. Luis was serving out on the beach and he was awesome. Food at all restaurants was excellent! The buffet has excellent food as well, but needs to be a bigger restaurant and have more varieties of food.I did have an issue with one the the waitresses in the morning buffet, when we got there I asked for coffee and a green juice, she told me I could serve myself. While I was serving my juice she came over and served a couple of juices and took them to a table in my area ( I felt like she was raciest). Other than that everyone was very friendly.
At night all of the shows were excellent, except for the party lasted until about 3AM, everyday! and the music can be heard until it closes, so it is very hard to sleep even with ear plug's.
Not sure if I will go back anytime soon, but it was an over all EXPERIENCE.

We stayed 7 nights and had a pretty good time. It depends on the individual. The staff was fun and friendly. Our next trip will probably be 5 nights because we’ll leave and go to another one of their resorts for 4-5 nights.

I have honestly never seems so many disappointed group of men at any resort. The going mentality is that they get there, and by some magic they’ll hook up with other couples’ women or something? The reality is; there are almost no single girls there, and these guys just lurk around in a very sensually charged environment getting no attention at all. Anecdotally, couples call these groups of single men, the lurkers, walking around, drunk as hell, desperately trying to find some hookup… it’s very sad, and more than often they are the ones that get thrown out for rude behavior, which I can understand, you can get pretty frustrated.. pretty fast in this place. So no, go somewhere else, don’t go to a swingers hotel with guys looking for free women, they won’t sprout out of the ground for your enjoyment. Average guest 40s into early 50s.
