On the death of the 5th Marquess of Dufferin and Ava all his titles except for the Barony of Dufferin and Clandeboye became extinct - the barony was inherited by his fourth cousin once removed, Sir Francis George Blackwood, 7th Bt., who succeeded as 10th Baron Dufferin and Clandeboye.
