The labels of my copy intent that it must be a reissue but the Matrix/Runouts looks more like a 1968 stereo copy.
Namely:
Matrix / Runout (Record 1 side A): 583031 A//2▽420 1 1 2
Matrix / Runout (Record 1 side B): 583031 B//1▽420 1 4 1 8

Who can help or tell me more? - Easy to crank, and sounds pretty great when you do it. Not the best this album can sound I imagine, but for the price and how nice the cover looks, it's perfect.
- If anyone is interested, my version is a single LP without the live tracks. Maybe a boot of the boot. Looks the exact same. Fun to have in the collection
- Edited 6 months agoarguably the definitive edition of this album to own, the sound is absolutely perfect. Super loud and dynamic, and it’s right in your face the entire time
- My version hasn’t the back to black sticker on the shrink wrap and no download code, as shown in the pictures above. But it is also not mentioned in the description.
- According to a retired sound audio engineer whose opinion I hold in very high regard,
this is the best version of this classic album. This edition was mastered flat from the original USA master tapes. - Edited 8 months agoBest sounding version of Wheels Of Fire I have ever heard!
Mr. Steve Hoffman have said: GEARS and FIRE were recorded at Atlantic and the masters never left Atlantic Studios (USA). All foreign versions were cut from copy tapes of dubious quality.
