Virginia Union University Reviews
Rating 3.32 out of 5 546 reviews
Virginia Union University is a historically black university located in Richmond, Virginia. My experience at VUU was truly transformative and enriching. From the moment I stepped foot on campus, I a sense of community and belonging. The campus itself is beautiful, with historic buildings and modern facilities that provide a conducive environment for learning and growth. The faculty and staff at VUU are dedicated and passionate about their work, always to go the extra mile to support students in their academic and personal development. I had the opportunity to take a wide range of courses in my major, and each one challenged me to think critically and expand my knowledge. The small class sizes allowed for meaningful discussions and interactions with professors and classmates, creating a collaborative and engaging learning environment. Beyond academics, VUU also offered a variety of extracurricular activities and organizations to get involved in.
Transferred from another college and I can just say...I want to transfer again! Administration has very bad communication skills, housing is terrible, the only big events on campus is freshmen orientation and homecoming. Having roommate problems and housing is doing nothing about it. Worried about my safety every single day. Don't go here!
Virginia Union taught me a lot, but Richmond taught me the true meaning of independance. The school holds a lot historical impact on life.
