The SRG/ILS Group extends its partnership with Virgin Music Group, building upon a deal signed in 2015, including catalogs from artists like Brian McKnight, Chaka Khan, J. Brown, and many more.

After a successful partnership penned in 2015, the SRG/ILS Group announces an extension of its partnership with Virgin Music Group. The union includes a catalog of releases from artists like Chaka Khan, Brian McKnight, Avant, J. Brown, Ruben Studdard, Lalah Hathaway, Johnny Gill, Vivian Green, After 7, and many more.

“SRG/ILS has undergone tremendous growth over the past several years, largely thanks to the strong support provided by Virgin Music Group,” says Claude Villani, SRG/ILS CEO. “Jacqueline Saturn and her team are exceptional, demonstrating a commitment to navigating today’s ever-changing music landscape with an artist-first attitude.”

“We love our partners and the SRG/ILS roster, which is full of incredibly successful and career-defining artists. We are proud of all we have accomplished together and are excited to build on their vision for the future,” adds Jacqueline Saturn, President of Virgin Music Group North America and EVP Global Artist Relations.

SRG/ILS is off to the races this year with a new album from top-selling Reggae group UB40, UB45, celebrating the band’s 45 years together. The album is currently a Top 5 release in the UK, alongside Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Olivia Rodrigo, and Pearl Jam. Further, it’s currently the No. 1 Reggae album in the UK. This week also sees SRG/ILS release the first single from Lalah Hathaway’s latest album, Vantablack.

The group also represents several independent labels, including Music Matters, MPress Records, and Gulf Coast Records, the latter of which has provided SRG/ILS with several No. 1 albums in the Blues genre.

In 2023, SRG/ILS launched the SRG Jazz imprint, which has released albums and singles featuring legends of the genre, David Benoit and Jeff Lorber, alongside contemporary stars Mike Phillips, Xavier Gordon, and Damien Escobar. Escobar recently landed at No. 1 on the Jazz airplay chart with his track, “Taboo.”
