De su premisa genial de apariencia insostenible —como el fantasma de la propia Addie— se desprende la máxima mankiewicziana del pasado como ente que se manifiesta para invadir hasta que la conciliación con el presente proyecta/libera/quiebra el porvenir. Pero esta incidencia no es particular sino tripartita y su búsqueda por la armonía es a su vez exponencial en su humanismo sensible.
