Thank you to La Quintas for welcoming pets. The air failed in our home in Phoenix on the hottest day of the year - 120 degrees. With no way to get it fixed until the next day and with our house reaching 98 degrees inside, La Quinta was a welcomed answer. Our two miniature dachshunds, my husband and I had a wonderful, cool sleep in a clean modern room. The pet area was well kept with bags available for "pick ups." Also appreciated that the items/snacks that were for sale were not overly expensive. Thank you also for allowing us to stay one extra hour as there was a delay in our new air conditioner being put it.

Very clean. Concerned that since dogs are allowed, the room would smell like dog. Absolutely orderless. Helpful staff. No more bagged breakfasts but juice, hot coffee/tea, prewarapped muffins, cereals, microwaveable waffles, multi-grain bars which all could be eaten in the dining space or brought back to your room. Clean towels available at the front desk but no room service due to Covid restrictions. Leave wet towels and wastebaskets out side your door and towels are removed and wastebaskets emptied. Beds very comfortable, Room darkening shades, Very quiet.

We took our 4 year old to the Odyssey aquarium for his 4th birthday and stayed here. The hotel was nice, the Management staff was fantastic. When booking the room, I asked if the hotel could do something small for my kids birthday. They went way above and beyond to provide him cupcakes, small gifts, and balloons for his birthday, which made him feel so special!

They do still follow COVID policies, for example, limited pool hours, workout facility is closed, and the breakfast they provide is served in to go bags, which includes a piece of fruit, yogurt, and breakfast bar, which I think is good to know in advance of the booking is "breakfast included" is a key reason you are booking.

One last thing. I think the hotel is located near to a self car cleaning place and it can get loud in the morning. We were on the first level by the pool, and we started hearing some pretty loud noises outside as early as 5am. We obviously didnt know this going on, or would have asked for a room at the back end of the property.

All in all, we had a great time. Thanks to the staff for all you guys did to accommodate us and for keeping the property clean! We will be back!

We are delighted you enjoyed your stay with us and look forward to welcoming your back in the near future. Have a wonderful day!

Two stars because the room was clean and the location is very good. Otherwise it was a BIG miss.
1. You must sign a waiver when checking in stating that there is NOT daily housekeeping. What!!?? It's true, you cant even get trash service or fresh towels unless you ask by 9 pm the night before.
2. We like LaQuinta since they rebranded and became pet friendly as we usually travel with our dog. However, this property had dog poop all over the grounds. Not all pet owners (unfortunately) will be responsible and clean up after their pets. The management should know this and make sure that someone strolls the property and cleans up every day. We couldn't even take our dog into the grassy pet area because there was so much poop there.
3. Outside and inside trash cans were always full of trash to overflowing.
4. Entrance alcove was littered with cigarette butts....probably 100 of them.
5. Totally lame "breakfast" of refined carbs in a paper sack. Management should not blame this on COVID: we travel a lot and other hotels have managed how to still serve hot or at least varied breakfast items and coffee.
6. No hot coffee, tea, or hot water in the lobby. Really: none, zip, zero.
In the room: the mattress was very firm and not comfortable; there was lack of variety of pillows (the king bed had only 3 pillows on it, we are used to seeing at least 4 or 5 of varied firmness); the tub drain was very slow so 4 inches of water collected as you showered.
7. Did I mention NO coffee in the lobby?
Finally, we were awakened about midnight by guests checking in to the room next door. It was as if they were standing in our room talking. The doors between rooms apparently have NO sound mitigation between them. It isn't as if they were being particularly noisy, just that the barrier to sound doesn't exist. When we called the front desk the clerk said with a modicum of snark "well, they did just arrive". That is little consolation when you have been awakened at midnight.
Furthermore, the hot tub was closed because you "can't social distance in a hot tub". That is a lame excuse. Obviously people who live together would use the hot tub together and don't need to socially distance. They could even have a sign up or reservation system so couples or families could use.
I can't see why other reviewers found this property worthy of high ratings.
Despite its great location, we will definitely NOT return to this property.

Thank you very much for taking time to review our property. Your feedback is important to us. We are sorry you did not get a restful night sleep; and that the amenities and cleanliness of the property did not meet your expectations. We have addressed these opportunities with our staff. That being said, I would like to clarify the "stay guidelines" you mentioned. The 'waiver" indicates, as a safety precaution during a pandemic, we will not automatically enter your guest room daily. You still have access to coffee, towels, and all other amenities through the front desk whenever you like. Additionally, as each city's ordinances regarding COVID can vary, your experience here may not be the same as other properties where you have stayed. We must follow the ordinances set by the city of Scottsdale, where things like our lobby coffee and breakfast buffet are impacted. We understand this can be frustrating and inconvenient. We thank you again for your candid feedback, and appreciate your understanding as we put safety first. Have a wonderful day!

Hotel is conveniently located near by everything we want to visit. We had always positive experience at all la quinta hotels nationwide. Check in was friendly and fast. Covid measurements were followed by housekeeping staff and at desk they do have hand sanitizers and wipes. Our room was very clean and bed was really comfortable we will definitely stay there again.

The hotel was recently renovated throughout. My room was spotless and the beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The hotel has a great location just off the highway and in an area with many good restaurants, shopping, banks nearby, well-lit parking lot. I would stay there again any time.

The room was adequate. We did have black smelly grainy liquid fill the bathroom sink. The maintenance man came in from the floor above where he had unplugged a drain. It backed up in our room. It was awful. He poured drank down and bleached everywhere. I had already rinsed the sink, but it stuck some. The breakfast was horrible. Two kinds of old looking sausage, hard boiled eggs that tasted and looked old pancake and waffle mix, stale bread. Juice system sprayed water from all nozzles. Many people were complaining. We’ve stayed at several of this chain all over the states for years. This one was about the worst. The tech guy had to come figure out why the printer didn’t work. It does now for others. We were very disappointed.

Notifies us at the time of registrations that

Clean towels and sheets not available daily due to Covid.

Unable to sleep on exceptionally soft mattress. Creates low back pain for us both;

Internet and cable TV not working all night;

Hung up on when calling to ask for a 2nd cup of coffee for the room at 4 AM.

Would not deliver coffee so
had to get dressed and hike for the front desk at 4 AM in order to get coffee for us both

Only one cup of coffee allowed and
Only one individual single shampoo allowed for a king size double occupancy room.

When I asked about this front desk questioned me about how much I travelled since “it’s this way everywhere because of Covid.”

Was not charged extra for the lip service and poor attitude

I anticipate they’ll be checking out lightbulbs next because of Covid.

Never to return

We recently enjoyed our stay at La Quinta, Scottsdale, AZ from Jan. 26th-28th, 2024. This is why:
We were greeted with overt friendliness and helpfulness by Nick at the front desk as soon as we walked in. Very personable, efficient, and friendly, who put us at ease right away. We found the hotel to be very clean and efficiently organized. We loved the in room coffee brand- it is very good!
The morning breakfast had something for everyone's tastes. The breakfast area was also very clean and well kept. Other front desk staff, and breakfast room staff were very friendly and helpful as well.
I do have a suggestion for the cleaning of the breakfast room...when spraying to clean the tables, it should be nozzle down on the table and stream it, to avoid the over-spray of cleaning fluid near customers who are still eating their food. Otherwise a great stay, we would definitely return to this location, and recommend it to others, as well as high star reviews on social media.

We were disappointed in our stay at this hotel. The breakfast was well below what was expected from this type of hotel. We had sausage, some muffins, bagels, waffles, and cold cereal. Other places we stayed at had eggs and potatoes as well as everything above. Housekeeping was only available on request with about a 24 hour notice, so even though we were there 4 nights we had no housekeeping. We stayed here due to it being close to the Phoenix and Scottsdale campus of Mayo Clinic, and it was about half way between the campuses. On our last day there, our key cards stopped functioning while we were trying to load our car. Also, don't expect to find luggage carts. We only saw 2 during our entire stay, and none were available while we were checking in or out. It was also difficult to do anything because someone had to remain in the room at all times with our cat, so we were limited to takeout or delivery for food as there is no restaurant in the facility.

I was just there, and the weather was in the 50"s. That's too cold forme to go in the pool. The end of March should see temps in hi 60's and low 70's, so it might be warm enough for most people. I think it all depends on the air temperature and what you are comfortable with.
