Came here with a friend that I hadn't seen in a very long time to catch up. Had a great time. The music was a vibe, the servers are sweet and helpful. Amalfi recommended the tampiquena steak and it was delicious and enough to split for two. The drinks are delicious and strong. Ozone park definitely got a gem in don tequilla.

This is my third trip to Don Tequila, they never disappoint! The service is wonderful. The ladies  who work here are super friendly and constantly asking if you need anything else. Their happy hour deals are AMAZING (and strong) . The food is tasty and the prices are right. I will continue to be a patron of this restaurant for a long time !!

Visited this place for a birthday. I really enjoyed the ambiance, food and the margaritas! They also had a DJ on a Saturday night playing nice old school music and Selena!

So I went here literally today for my birthday and I was optimistic because the reviews said the food was good. However, the service wasn't the best. The food is very good but if I have to wait for a glass of water for 15 - 20 min it's an issue. Also it's illegal in nyc to add gratuity to my bill. I work in the food service industry and I found it ridiculous that my boyfriends card was automatically charged 18%. Gratuity is optional and based on service automatically adding it when the service is crap is ridiculous not to mention illegal.

I'm honestly surprised that I'm finally leaving a review as I've been back multiple times already but I'm leaving my two cents because they totally deserve it. My go-to drink when I visit is the Mex Mojito. I have probably tried over 8 different dishes here already and by now I can probably vouch for every other dish I have yet to try. They do not disappoint! Their tacos are to die for - especially the chorizo taco. Their elote is AMAZING. I have been looking for a "good" elote forever and have finally found my place. They have the "street" taste which it's all about if you know what I mean. Do not leave without ordering their guacamole. They make the guacamole fresh in front of you, customized to your taste buds. All in all, the music, the ambiance, the waitresses and the overall vibe of this place is lively and fun. Check it out!

Was there last night (6/8/18) and from start to finish I had a blast. We were a party of two and my date asked if we could sit at the bar and they were kind enough to ask someone folks to shift a bit so we could have two together. Really nice to see the hosts make that effort for us, instantly made someone like me, who hates crowded places, feel more at ease.
We started off with frozen margaritas, which were nice, with some fruit (puree?) mixed in. A nice treat but made for a little trouble with the straws - but we made it work LOL. For the next round, I tried the Mexican Mule, which I thought was way too sweet and syrupy. For round three, we moved to the sangrias, one red and one white, which we loved and ended up having a couple of more. At some point we actually ate and we had chicken quesadillas, which were smartly done as three tacos per plate, so easy to eat, full of flavorful chicken and cheese in each one, totally a meal in themselves. So aside from that Mule, it was 100% on the food and drink.
Place was filled to the brim on a Friday night with great mixed crowd, but the layout is really smart, it never felt crowded even with every seat taken. Also nice to have all the windows making it feel spacious.
But our bartender, Victoria I believe, was fantastic, super sweet and always checking in on us but never pushy. In fact, she apologized at one point for not coming back quick enough but really, she was more attentive than most bartenders I've ever dealt with! She was also smart to keep asking us at each round if we wanted to eat something, I think she knew we'd be crawling out of there without some food in our system. (I'm going to try and remember when she says she's there so we can come back for her.)
Last thing is I must know who the DJ was that night and when he's on normally, because the mix of music was fantastic and genres kept changing as the night went on, and if there was a dance floor we totally would've been on it the whole night, except for just bouncing in our seats.
All in all, a really fun time and I'm sure I'll be back again. - Steph S.New York, NY136137/3/2018
I am so glad this place opened! I don't really have many great local places by me that have both, good drinks and music. The sangria is on point and will definitely sneak up on you. The ambiance is always live and the service is exceptional. My only complaint is, food is pretty mediocre in addition to the menu being a little overpriced.
Definitely just a good local spot for good drinks and music. - Lisabel D.New York, NY21728/19/2018
Okay so I was skeptical at first because of all the mixed reviews BUT! I honestly really liked this place. The food was really good & the drinks...the drinks! They are so strong! (Which is a great thing btw!). If you live in the Woodhaven/Glendale area this is a pretty dope spot to check out. Only reason I docked a star was because of the choice of music. It'd be nice for them to play a variation instead of only Spanish music (I mean they might play different music on different nights. I'm not sure, I'm just going off of my hr visit)
But overall, pretty good spot! - Dante A.KEW GARDENS, NY243106/15/2018
Tasty food, very friendly service, EXTREMELY loud, and very small portions for the price.
Only really worth a visit if you're going for the boisterous atmosphere and/or for drinks.
Enjoyable enough but I won't be back. For an "atmosphere" place I'd choose El Patron on Northern Blvd over this one, and for quality food Taqueria Kermes blows this place away. - Cindy H.Far Rockaway, NY273127/30/2019
Great service. Loved the food & entertainment. Great for after work relaxation. Â Hang out with friends @ family.
