Very good location,beach,food,service.International and domestic drinks.I would recommend++++++555. Stuff is very friendly.Food is gorgeous in restaurants and buffet.

The rooms and hotel are very nice. When we first arrived we were placed in the wrong room and had some trouble with the lady at the front desk. This was quickly resolved by the manager and we where upgraded for free. The pool bar staff are great. The entertainment staff could of been better. The food was good but not great. I would go back because the beach and hotel are amazing.

This was our second time staying at this resort, 10/18/14-10/25/14. The place was very well kept and the staff was excellent. At one point during our stay we must have dropped some money in our room, upon our return from the pool, there was $68 USD sitting on our bed! Everyday, upon our return to our room, the maid had made up a different animal out of a towel and placed it on our table.
The food was great and they have many different types to please many different nationalities. We will certainly be returning for a third time in the near future! It is a very well maintained resort and absolutely beautiful!

The Riu Palace is an exceptional hotel. As you enter the main Reception you are greeted with a spectular site. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, nothing was ever too much trouble. The main buffet restaurant had outstanding, quality preparred food during every service. Would also recommend The Steakhouse but thought the Italian and Japaneese Al La Carte were poor in comparison. The Thomson Rep was the best we had come across. Could have definiately stayed longer than our 7 nights and would recommended to couples looking for a hotel with added sparkle of total luxury.

I and my husband stayed in this Hotel 15 days. Place beautiful and I recommend to the people attendee this Hotel. Every think complex. Big nice room with balcony and good working facility. Hot water with good pressure. Good mattress, Flat TV. All for 5 star. Lobby extraordinary good with air conditioner and café with drink and coffee. Administrative nice and respectable. Personal I would like mentioned younger manager Mr. Nataniel. Above mentioned can be very nice vacation but some very bed for many visitor.

Restaurant Montecricto has inside air conditioner and outside gallery with open view and visitor have choice eat food in condition that they like.

1. Outside 40 and guest come cool down and enjoy food but Mr. Pascual request from his employee open all 3 big doors that made damage not only for people but also for business because cooling place outside of restaurant and spend not necessary energy that cost big money.
2. Mr. Pascual during 30 minute of beginning breakfast, dinner and supper line up 12 employee or more and they clasp one's hands and you go throw like throw security camera and people feel inconvinies. He said that he doing this 25 years. Maybe enough.
3. Pool staff very nice, working good and friendly and particularly gays that made drinks.
Towels 50% garbage that need replacement. It shame of management 5 stars Hotel give to the guest old dirty thousand time washable and lost color to the guest.

Four of us recently stayed 5 nights at this resort and loved it. The hotel was clean, the staff were extremely friendly, the food was great, and the beach was amazing! We all used the wifi and it worked very well. We would definitely return and recommend to anyone looking to stay in Punta Cana.

Just wanted to say that I came here for my best gal pals 50th bday. ..I read a lot of reviews before coming.I just want to say it was simply awsome. The food at the buffet and the all around service. Our room was super clean and staff made my gals room fabulous for her day. Great days spent at pool and beach..... Not sure about all the negative reviews but I truly was impressed. ..Definitely would come back....Shout out to Cathy at the buffet and the guys at the pool bar....

We stayed here for four nights and I will give you the good points first. The rooms are very nice and very clean..the property is well kept..that's really the only thing we liked there! The food was horrible at every restaurant on the property. Sincerely horrible I'm not exaggerating at all.. We went off the property with a group of 11 the last night we were there and ate at a restaurant called Noah and it was like we went to heaven! There are a lot of rooms that are a good walk to everything so be prepared for that also. The pool is ok. The beach is nice but the water is rough in this location.. We were there with a group of 35 and 25 of our group got sick either with vomiting or diarrhea. Or both. I would never go back to this particular property or punts Cana for any reason. I have traveled extensively and this is by far the worst place I have been.

Well where do I start when reviewing this hotel. We came for 2 weeks in the middle of August. From the moment we arrived the service we received was fantastic!! Check-in was quick and easy and our bags were taken to our rooms for us. We even had a cheeky complimentary cocktail, which was very nice!! Our room was fantastic and modern, couldn't fault it!! The maids did a great job cleaning and always left a nice surprise for when we returned-towel art!! The maids even came back in the evening (between 7-8) to see if we needed any towels or toilet roll, I thought this was really good!! The pool area was great!! We'd read reviews before we came and expected it to be over crowded and full of kids, how wrong they were because we there were hardly any kids and we never struggled to get a sunbed even after 10am! We tended to stay around the pool in a morning and then head to the beach in the afternoon and the sea breeze was lovely!! The beach was stunning with golden sand and clear water the only slight downside was the amount of seaweed, however we did notice the Riu workers clearing it up and piling it away!! The food at the hotel is good. Always something to eat in the main buffet restaurant. We were worried we weren't going to be able to book at the a la carte restaurants after listening to some reviews, we had no trouble at all!! You don't expect to be able to book for the same night as there are lots of guests staying in the hotel!! We booked 2 days in advanced and we certainly didn't have to queue for ages!! The entertainment staff were great, fun and entertaining around the pool encouraging people to join in!! We only saw a few shows in the evening but from what we saw it was good!! They cater for all ages!
Overall, we loved our holiday here and would definitely recommend staying here! Don't listen to some of the reviews they seem inaccurate and slightly picky!! This was the best Riu I've stayed at!!

It looks like it will be going on for a long time. They're putting up new buildings and only have some of the basic foundations installed. It is loud and goes till 9pmish the nights I was there. Lots of pounding and machines. Like I said, this is the entrance side of the hotel, not the beach side, where it is concentrated. I asked to be moved to a different room and they were very cooperative.
