Brief Life History of Amedeo
When Amedeo de Savoie III, di Savoia was born in 1095, in Carignano, Turin, Piedmont, Italy, his father, Umberto di Savoia II, was 29 and his mother, Gisèle de Bourgogne, was 23. He married Mahaut d'Albon in 1120. They were the parents of at least 6 sons and 5 daughters. He registered for military service in 1147. He died on 1 April 1148, in Nicosia, Nicosia, Cyprus, at the age of 53, and was buried in Nicosia, Cyprus.
