Costs $20 usd per person. It’s tiny, we finished in about 35 minutes (we read all the placards, took our time). Doesn’t even have original art by Kahlo; instead features some reproductions of her work, alongside many photos and some letters she wrote.
It felt like reading a well done Wikipedia entry about Frida. This museum should charge $5 usd. I’m a Frida Kahlo fan, but even for me the cost per minute ratio felt off.

This place sound great! But it is also no longer open. We walked up-and-down 5th Avenue for almost an hour being sold every boat tour in book 3 or 4 times, I mean We follow the GPS and spoke with the locals. It turns out this museum closed a few months ago. I guess it wasn't important to update their website or operating hours still shows open

This has to be one of the shadiest stores ever, who wants to pay to enter a store!?
They claim to be a museum, you pay to enter of course but once inside you quickly realize you've just paid to enter a storefront...
This is not to say the displays are not absolutely beautiful, and if you are a fan of Frida Kahlo there are countless items to choose from as virtually everything is for sale.

This is a fabulous museum and an honor to an amazing icon, heroine and artist. Definitely buy a timed ticket in advance as the lines for tickets are very long. It was crowded the day I went, so plan on taking your time in case it is crowded.

I knew very little about Frida Kahlo before going to this museum & having an excellent guided tour. I knew she was an important Mexican artist, Salma Hayek played her in a film and she featured in the animation film Coco. Now I know about her life, her family, her struggles, her love and the Mexican artist and her husband twice over Diego Rivera.

The tour guide is free but a tip at the end is welcomed but jut asked for. I was more than happy to tip as she was so good. Going at your pace and we could ask questions as we went along.

The general price for entry is MX$ 240, there are concessions if you are senior or a student or child. If you are student bring proof like you student card or student union card.

For the $16 admission that I paid, there weren't much to see in the museum. Maybe I've visited the original one in Mexico City and I knew there were no original paintings but I think the admission was way too high for few pictures. And the gift shop is very expensive also.

Hi, Sintia. Thank you for your comments. The cultural offer of the Museum is very broad in terms of the narrative content on the life and work of Frida Kahlo, as well as original photographs and works of contemporary artists inspired by Frida, as well as immersive technological experiences. We regret that your experience has not been entirely good for you. Please I ask you to let me know if you received the attention of our staff to give you the guided tour. Regards

The museum is just off the 5th avenue, toward the beach. Very central, very accessible.
Admission is 140 mxn, and you can get a tour (in either Spanish or English), which is tip-based.
Don't expect a standard museum, where you go in and gaze upon some paintings: this is a small place, dedicated to the life of the artist more than to her art. There are no artifacts, only digital copies, and the exhibition takes the visitor through the main event and people in Kahlo's life. It does a good job of presenting her persona, her art and her inspiration and muses, and is solely dedicated to her legacy and memory.
I spent a nice afternoon here, with the great tour guide who was very knowledgeable and happy to share it and discuss her point of view of the artist. Highly recommended.

I wouldn't call this a Museum, it is a written documentary of her life with representations of her works but zero actual art from her. Cost $15 per adult and $10 per student. Overpriced for its size and lack of artwork. I grabbed two postcards for souvenirs and they cost me $17.00 USD. Tough to find the entrance, it is around the corner off the main road. Free guided tours available, less than an hour.

One of the things I wanted to do on our vacation, so my guy semi reluctantly came along. It was fabulous! Tour with guide through the museo first then onto a private room upstairs for the interactive dinner. Approx. seven courses while Frida's art played on the walls and table. Lovely gal informed us of each dish and the relevance to Frida and Diego's life. Service was impeccable. At the end, my guy was impressed and glad he came and is now reading a book on Frida's life.Highly recommend and thanks to Anna (who also does the graphics) who was awesome when we had to change our reservation night. Just a reminder, this was the interactive dinner and not just eating at the restaurant. Thanks for a wonderful evening!

I was traveling with a group of 10 & on the night we visited we were celebrating my Anniversary. The leader of our group signed up for the "Frida Kahlo Experience", this included a guided tour of the Museum which was great followed by a private dinner. I heard him ask twice if we would be ordering from the menu and was told yes. After the tour we were led to a private 3rd floor dining room with about 10 other guest. The "dinner" included an endless parade of staff and a host that explained what we would be eating for dinner. This is when it got strange. The servings were colorful & the explanations of the artistic colors of Frida were great, the "food" not so much. Lets recap, grasshopper lollipops, uncooked octopus, goats tongue, rubbery lobster, & other strange servings of God knows what. The only thing I was able to swallow was the fruit cup...everything else I tried was disgusting. I threw up twice and decided to stop trying to eat anything else. 4 people in our party actually tried to eat, the rest of us gave up. The entire ordeal lasted well and we were all starving after it was over. If you visit go to the museum & the regular restaurant to not try the "Frida Kahlo Experience Dinner" you will regret it......
