Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express [Shah Rukh Khan], needless to say, is superb. There is no one who can do his combo of I'm-a-regular-guy-but-hey-I'm-the-king better. May 22, 2019 Full Review Gautaman Bhaskaran Hollywood Reporter As a spoof of the 1970s Bollywood, Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om is well-conceived and executed. As a story about reincarnation, it disappoints. Jan 7, 2008 Full Review Anil Sinanan Times (UK) Once you decide to suspend all belief in logic from the preposterous proceedings, there is much to enjoy in this witty and inventive camp entertainer. Rated: 4/5 Nov 24, 2007 Full Review Jimmy Cage Jimmy Cage Movie Reviews (YouTube) OM SHANTI OM pokes fun at the Bollywood masala formula and is at times quite entertaining, but overall it gets carried away by the same shortcomings and was never able to win me over completely. Rated: 6/10 Jul 7, 2022 Full Review Sukanya Verma Rediff.com The idea of watching a massively-promoted Diwali release is to come out of the theatre feeling entertained. And for just that alone, Om Shanti Om definitely scores. Rated: 3.5/5 May 1, 2015 Full Review Nikhat Kazmi The Times of India Are we complaining? Not really, because the film's meant to be mad, mindless and zany. And we are meant to be happy, headless and nostalgic. Rated: 3.5/5 May 1, 2015 Full Review Read all reviews

Sarthak B I can't describe in words how much this film is dear to me. it makes me full of joy, makes me cry, makes me want to fall in love, makes me want to believe in divine intervention and out of all of this, increases my love for bollywood by tons due to the supremely meta references. this film, to its very core itself, is the definition of pure bollywood masala and defines what bollywood masala is supposed to be: just having a blast. the film has an over the top story, huge song sequences, fantastic set design, big names of bollywood (quite literally) and overall a deeply satisfying and emotional climax. let's talk about SRK. I want this era of SRK to be revived one again, Farah Khan really came to SRK and said, "you know what? I'm going to give bollywood and you the biggest hits they're ever gonna achieve." Although she did slide downhill after this film, I can never forget the pure amount of fun and joy I had while watching Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om; and with SRK in both of these films, those movies just get better and better on re-watch because of that nostalgia and because of their overall quality in standing the test of time. Deepika in this film is decent, she has had better roles after this, but it's that feeling she awakens in you when Ajab Si plays in the film sung by the legend KK, it's magical and you experience exactly what SRK feels in the film. I want that to happen to me so bad. now, about the elephant in the room, the songs. holy fuck the whole album is a masterpiece. I can't express in words how much each and every song from the film is in my playlist for how long and how many times I must've listened to them. KK, Shaan, Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal, the list goes on and on tbh and there isn't one bad song in the film. Special Mention to the song Deewangi Deewangi. That song is MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS FOR REAL. Another special mention to Dastaan - E - Om Shanti Om. SHAAN'S MAGNUM OPUS. Just go watch this film guys and have a blast with it. You can't not have a good time with this. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/13/23 Full Review Audience Member My introduction to Bollywood and a truly engaging ride from start to finish. A genre-bending story with great characters and a god-tier soundtrack, Om Shanti Om is able to hit almost all of its beats with a resonant punch.
